Defensive Troops Please give feedback
Hi and I have an idea that I think would improve the gameplay by adding defensive troops. Defensive troops would have to be trained in a special barrack made with Dark Elixir and the troops would be stored or kept in special defense camps. To unlock lvl 1 barracks would be Town Hall level 7 and with Town Hall Level 10 you would get defensive troops barracks level 5. The Defensive troops would be unlocked in this order Mage which could decrease the damage of spells, the Spearman that always first targets anyone attacking resource buildings, The War Eagle shoots lightning and does splash area and focuses on air units, The Wall Builder which for 25 seconds unless killed will gradually repair broken walls, and The Brute who is a mighty Giant with a sword that will focus on protecting defense buildings such as cannons and mortars. Also the maximum defensive troops you could have in 1 defense would be 25 preselected troops. Training costs would be Mage 20 Dark Elixir with damage per second 25, Spearman 45 Dark Elixir with damage per second 35, War Eagle 60 Dark Elixir with damage per second 4 damage per second in area splash, Wall Builder 70 Dark Elixir no damage per second, and Brute 85 Dark Elixir 45 Damage Per Second. The Cost of the barracks level one would be 2500 Dark Elixir and defense camp level one 3500 Dark Elixir. To avoid being to OP you could only enable 1 defensive troop building which would be defense camp and clan castle to defend your village partly because it annoys me when I have troops in the clan castle expended and I was planning to use them in a attack..Thanks for reading and please consider this and post feedback. https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images...29755/nova.jpg for Real War Eagle would like Eagle to look like that. Thanks for the feedback and your thoughts guys. It really improves my idea. KL I understand what you're saying by this idea being too OP and I think I came up with a good way to fix this. You could only enable one of the options with troops inside to defend your village. The options of course would be the clan castle or the defense camp. What you guys think about this?
Might unbalance attacking/defending
before you post an idea like this, make sure you consider the public's reaction if this was added. I know myself I would be losing far too many battles for the game to remain fun anymore. I know i may sound skeptical, but the cc is already the best defensive building in the game. doubling that power would be too OP.
EDIT: My bad, didnt see above post. Could be very controversial if it was like that. I have two statements to say about this. I once read a mod post saying " If you have to change your idea too many times, it's probably not a good one". The second being yes this may be a good idea, but it being practical is at question. We already have defending troops, what makes these any better?
