Sorry, I just realised that 20 balloons would take 40 minutes (5 for each barrack) 5x8 =40
If you're gonna farming in gold league, a 16-balloons army usually is enough.
I'm also new to balloonions, so I started by barching up 2200 cups, get the C2 badge, and start ballooning there. The first time I did that, I lost almost every match and fell down to 2000. So I rinsed and repeated until I could hold the range. My composition is usually 20 loons/60 minions. 16 loons/70 minions is popular as well. The only way you're going to cut the cook time on this composition is if you could get 6 lvl 6 balloons in your CC every raid and just raid with more minions. Unity sharp did this in his th9 guide that's floating around in this sub forum.
I find 20 balloons prefect and the rest minions... As an overnight army I use 30 balloons and rest minions (but I have 235 spaces), 3 rage 1 heal and 1 lightning spells (you can use like 2 rage, 1 heal and 1 lightning for cc troops.) That's how I used loons in TH9.. just an opinion, I definitely could be wrong
20 loons rest minions, go for the vulnerable DE storages. Remember to test air bombs.
