In which level you actually start to need all producing animals?

I'm at level 43 at the moment and have been very conservative in adding new producing animals. I currently have 12 chickens, 10 cows and pigs, five sheep and four goats. When my barn space is tight, I leave my chickens to wait egg collecting for long times. When I have more room, I try to keep eggs a highest number item in my barn to make little people to ask them. I sell milk regularly and bacon has been basically hazardous waste in my farm, though now I have couple products I like to produce for sale that actually need bacon. Pigs just look so pitiful both when hungry and when waiting for a collect that I don't have heart to leave them like that. Wool is something I once in the blue moon am left wanting, but it is easy to buy, and cheap too. And no one wants to buy wool products anyway, so not a big loss, if my loom goes without work for hour or two now and then. Goat milk I at times sell, if I or my friends don't get goat milk boats in some time.

When I visit other farms, I notice most higher level farms have all possible animals, but then again, so have most in my level. At the moment I'm making good coins from selling lots of animal feed and would loathe to give that away and have to produce more feed for my own animals, so I'm not planning adding up my animal count, and they take so much space too. But in which point will I have to do it?

Im about to turn to level 53. The only animals I use regularly are cows....my dairy is constantly going. The pigs I use regularly too and I always make sure that I have plenty of feed for cows and pigs. The chickens, well, I only take a few eggs at a time for the items I need to make other than that they are left ready to be collected. My goats are constantly left ready for collection. I set up goats cheese in the dairy right before I go to sleep and make sure I have feed ready for them. The sheep are never collected - I just don't use wool, I don't sell it either.

I have maximum number of cows, pigs, chickens. 8 goats and 9 sheep and I wish I'd never bothered with that many sheep!

i personally prefer to make excess dairy products and sell those as they all tend to sell very well.

Oh, my dairy is working full-time day and night, with long enough queue that it doesn't stop working during nights etc. I sell a bit and help my friends, but mostly I get all my dairy products used to making other products already. But my Dairy still doesn't use all the milk I can collect. And I have noticed I need more regular cheese than goat cheese, so there is extra goat milk too.

I don't have problem with milk or goat milk, they sell quite well in reasonable price in RSS. And adding third cow pen is something I'm at least considering, but again, it takes space and I would have to reorganize and _really_ hate that.

Ok I have two farms one a level 62 and one a level 72. With the level 72, I can not keep enough eggs, or milk. Not cream and butter, those are a problem of course but even milk. I also have trouble keeping bacon. So I need every last one of those chickens and I wish I could have a few more. The level 62 is also always short of eggs. Once you get there, you have a slew of new machines and product that use eggs, especially and the new juicer uses milk in one of the smoothies.

When I open my farm in the morning and collect from my animals, then feed my pets, I can't get through half my machines without running out of animal products. And the higher level machines don't just need one egg for a product but the Mayo needs four eggs which is then used on an egg sandwich which uses even more. Lemon curd uses eggs as does the lemon cakes and lemon pies. It's crazy. Then there is egg sushi and all the salads and sandwiches that use bacon. And there are quite a few items that use goat cheese, like tomato soup (I don't understand that one either), Greek salad, feta pie, potato feta cakes etc. about the only animal product I don't run out of is the wool, but I don't have any problem selling it for max price. It might just take a little while.

I agree Tigg. Before the updates with the new machines and products, I would have lots of eggs and milk...too much really at the time, but now, my poor chickens barely have time to breathe before I'm wanting more eggs. I've had to buy eggs several times just to keep up production.

I agree with you Jess and Tigg - I have 12 chicken, 15 cows and pigs, 10 sheep and 4 goats. I am seriously considering another pen of goats and like Jess's chickens mine are producing a lot more eggs since the updates.

I have less animals than you and am doing fine.

It depends on whether you go for coins or xp.

10 Chicken feeds are 72, and eggs are 180, but eggs simply take too long to sell. If you wait for the neighbors, you should count it as 112 coins for 10 eggs.

For cows, feeds are 144, and milk are 324. Pigs, 144 and 504. Sheep, 144 and 540. Goat, 144 and 648.

Wool takes time to sell, but is still easier than eggs. It takes time to produce anyway. So, its best to have cows and goats, then pigs and sheeps, chickens are actually my lowest priority.

Despite speaking this, I have all animals, and I often buy feed in RSS, so all my animals are always fed. I just often stockpile 70-100 eggs and wait for the neighbors.

I got all of them as soon as they become available to me, coin-permitting of course. I prefer to get my own animal produce such as milk, bacon, wool and eggs rather than buying them. I only ever resort to buying IF I've totally run out due to mismanagement or forgetting to feed the animals and that my production queues will be stopped.

It really comes down to your individual playing style. If you'd prefer to just buy animal products all the way through every level, it's perfectly fine. You won't have to remember to keep them well-fed and ready to harvest and you can stock up on a need-to-basis which will also save you barn space, which will prove to be quite priceless.

Oh, I never sell eggs in RSS, except few serious barn space emergencies, when I'm basically giving them free. I don't like to keep things hanging in my RSS. I only sell with the price things keep moving nicely. Only exception is occasional one full priced bacon slice when I want to attract long term attention for my boat needing help. I hate to ask people help to clean up my RSS in my neighbourhood and that one bacon slice usually sells before too long.

Will there be many products in higher level that ask actual milk to make? I'm wondering, because my dairy is in full work already, I can't produce any more cream, butter or either cheese anyway, so if those future products need dairy products like cream, adding cows would not help one iota. I have too much milk from 10 cows for my dairy to handle anyway.
