I just used the tempest and lost 229K elixer in one raid so i dont think I want to use that base anymore does anyone have an extremely good base for protecting my loot?!?!?!?

TL;DR: you will never find a good TH8 base if u lose and say you don't like it. Pick 1 and stick with it to see some consistency...
Every base has its advantages and disadvantages. What is the purpose of the base you're looking for? What does your base want to protect?
Anyway, to answer your question, IMO Pingfao's is still one of the best(and common, unfortunately) base against most farming armies.
