The 2 things wrong with the valk is that she takes too much space and the time required to train
even if the housing space remains 8 her training time at 15 mins is seriously too much..needs to come down to 8 atleast
...her dps should increase slightly for all 4 levels as-90,100,115 and 128, note: increase upgrade cost for lv3 and 4 and the attack speed 1.8secs....
movement speed remains the same...
but after studying the hog rider and wiz health her hit points should reduce to- 250,350,450 and 550...hit point take a hit i know but only cuz the dps is actually increasing...also because of something later ;)
now..i want to suggest some tweaks for the valk cuz i think she looks pretty ordinary i.e. she actually looks more suited as a normal elixir troop!
Level 5 and 6
i know SC is probably working on this, but i would like to suggest it anyways...significant graphical updates need to happen for the level 5 and 6 valk....
im thinking at level 5 her hair turns black with her clothes turning a darker shade too...a black streak will run the length of the axe and the curved edge will turn pink like the pekka colors..
at level 6 her hair remains black her eye color changes deep purple...and 2 black lines run down her face from temple, over the eyes and down the cheeks...also her axe becomes bigger and fully black with the edge glowing slightly brighter and she now carries it on her shoulder while in the camp..
the dps and hp become 140,155 and 650,800
Ability
all dark troops have some decent ability or in the case of the hog and the witch...pretty great....the minion is an air troop and the golem has huge health..
the valk though is pretty ordinary...SC might say she has a splash component but honestly that doesnt help much while attacking does it?
now what ive got planned is...the valk can now target air troops!! she throws her axe up in the air as a boomerang to deal single target damage...this attack deals +2 her regular dps.....
but to balance this awesome ability out her normal fighting will no longer have a splash component...
so with this ability her position as a valuable cc troop remains more or less in tact...
the real deal with this ability is seen in the raids which is my aim all along..to get the valk picked in the raiding party!!
what this ability does while raiding is..yes it will target the cc air troops as well of course...but it can be used to BLOCK defences attacks...yup its axe in the boomerang and normal mode can be used to DEFLECT(NOT COMPLETELY STOP) all defensive attacks....
deflection means that the damage caused will be reduced by some amount but will not become zero completely
the mechanisms of this ability are:
- while the valks swings its axe it will be dealing damage to buildings and enemy troops as well as deflecting at the same time
- can only deflect incoming damage not completely negate
- will only protect herself if the incoming fire is targeting it and is single target
- will deflect mortar shells but all troops within target area of the shells will take the reduced damage
- protect the valk from xbows and infernos!
the continuous fire from these 2 defences is tough for the valk to take and so when engaged by these 2 units less damage can be deflected than from other defences.
this is a little balance trick!
The amount of damage deflected will of course vary with the valks level and i ll update this page when i come up with a reasonable formula
to balance this ability the valks have greatly reduced health and if SC likes this then the cost to train will also increase no doubt;)
SC wants to see the valk get more game time as do i but right now, even with the update im betting it still very much is the lowest trained troop out there and its not too difficult to see why...the current avatar of the valk is not exactly one of SCs best ideas but i think with the above couple of changes it can become an excellent troop
