My Road to Champions League (CL)!
Attack Strategy: Barch (Barbarians/Archers)

Before I explain my journey to the Champions league (CL), I'm nowhere near the first person to reach the Champions league by using Barch.

The people I am aware of reaching CL using BARCH:
- BlackDragon, WRATH OF GOD
- henry24986, WRATH OF GOD
- ::buddha1515, WRATH OF GOD
- HOWIE, InTheDark
- CamaroBro, RelentlessSiege
During the Alpha Thieves trophy push (March 3rd to March 13th) we finished #68 in the world with 31819 total trophies, not bad for farmers! We had 11 who received a Champions badge.

I currently farm at Master 3 and I decided to set a goal for myself, 3250. Since I am not a big fan of using tons of gems during a cup push, using BARCH was the best idea for me to use the absolute minimum. I previously have practiced using Barch and i knew having 10 days of hunting (my personal push took 14 days), I would have to be efficient while raiding because getting 1 star per raid leaves no room for failure.

Here are my results...I ended up having 62 wins on offense and 2 on defense. From what I recall i believe I failed on 11 offensive attacks. Being above 3000 cups my defense could not hold on to its own which means i really didnt have much help from my defense.

Army Composition
- 148 Archers
- 68 Barbarians
- 2 Witches (to kill off CC troops and high level heroes)
- CC troops: 7 Wiz, 2 Barbs
- 5 lvl6 Lightening
- Both heroes (A MUST in my opinion)
Base i looked to attack:
1. Bases that had a 50%+ of buildings outside of the walls.
2. Southern Teasers

Overall, this was a great experience for me and I was surprised that I reached my goal.

Thanks to to my clan Alpha Thieves and The Thieves Syndicate, I was able to reach my goal!

Congrats on CL. I use the same army composition n spells as u to hit CL a few weeks back. Rather tough, but once u get the hang of it, it seems all right.

im pretty sure your push was tougher than mine as I was pushing with max heros n found it tough already:X

Nice, congrats. I recently just made a goal for myself also to barch to camp. Deff helps to see other players strategy that has done it before.

Going to be trying this soon myself.

Would swapping barbs for giants still work? Maybe it's just me but I perfer giants (although I am no where near champs) since they are better at soaking up morta and wizard tower fire while archers kill stuff.

Imo, i don't believe so because the barbs also put damage into building while a giant is there as a meat shield. The amount of barbs that you bring could be the difference between a win or loss. But I'm not always right, it doesn't hurt to test it :D I would be interested in the results.

Awesome! Great job buddy!

I must say, it is quite pleasing to farm these maxed bases using a simple tier one army! I just dropped from my push, I hit 3449 using archers and these noob heroes, and then search times/cup offers started to get worse, so I dropped. I skipped way to many from your clan, either no cups or anti-arch base, why?! ;)

Thanks to my Barch teacher :D (shame I am such a goblin and get distracted by shiny things). His thread doesn't tell how helpful King Emahn is as a clan mate too.... always ready to post replays and answer questions. Very proud to be in the same clan with him!

hahhaahah I think seeing King Emahn's replays is why Alpha has so many anti barch bases :D

Yes, the light is used for taking out a pesky mortar or 2, and can also be used at the end of a match to take out hero pads or builder huts for those final few important percentage points to get the 50% win. :)

Can we include witches and wizards and still call it a barch? Wonder, if someone can reach to champions using a pure barch
