Healers or Healing Spells?

I have been raiding for quite a while now, but i have just recently started to use the Giant-Heal strategy. My question is: which is better to use, healers or heal spells?

I personally prefer healing spells, do you other forumers agree?

for giant healer i'd use just a healer, depends on what else i'm doing

I use healers and rage spells not healing spells

Using both actually works pretty well, though I don't like wasting troop space on healers.

Depends on the situation: if your attacking a location with an air defense near by then use the healing spell. If you've already eliminated the air defense or there isn't one near by use a healer. The healer will follow you around and lasts much longer as long as she isn't shot down.

It really does depend. With giants, go with a healer. With hogs, heal spells +/- healer.

i agree that it really depends on your army comp and strategy. overall i would have to say i use the healing spell more than the healers

Once i got level 6 Giants, i stopped using healers and use heal spell, only when required.
Till giants lvl 5, having healers is a better option than spells.

Above suits me, but it depends on how you farm or push and how you do your attacks to really decide which is better for you.

At Th9 and below healers are still useful. Vs Th8 and below they are outright good (if used correctly). With some skill you can still handle the extra Air Defense at Th9.


But at Th10, unless your picking on lower Th levels, they are outright useless. In the lower trophy counts everyone has (nearly) 2 discos, that cancel healing. Higher up, you'll need a tougher and more reliable army composition. The number of troops your taking into battle at Th10 makes managing the Healer's AI difficult.

Still 2-4 healers, giants or hogs and wizards (to compensate for lost DPS) is a strong composition in the right hands Vs Th9 and lower.
