Going to th10 - Pros and cons

So.. I finished my walls a few days ago.. And honestly, it was a big big mistake to do them and not def. I'm bored to death!
Without wanting it I've become a casual player attacking a few times a day! So.. I'm seriously thinking of going to th10 when my xbows are done (Will be in 22 days).

Cons : I will get wrecked every time I logg off?
Maybe it will suck so much that I lose interest in the game

Pros : will be funnier? Will be able to upgrade walls again! DE will be easier to get?
More army camp space

What do you th10ers think, would I survive with my prem th8 def? How bad is the loot for you?

Don't tell me to do heroes, they take time to upgrade as well.

Yes I'm impatient..

The sensible thing would be to just work on your defences buddy.

Loot is easier to get whilst you're th9 but considering the rate at which you'll actually need to farm it at to keep builders busy I'd probably just go ahead and get myself to th10 and get them disco balls.

Personally I have found th10 much more fun than th9 and the loot isnt too bad.

Canons & Air Defense to go! (and walls and heroes ofcs).

I've made the to jump to TH10 without finishing my LVL 10 walls. I had about 85/250 completed at the time. Originally I was thinking of completing all of them, but I found it really unnecessary and boring. Farming and bullying TH8 and TH7s 40 times a day and raiding brainlessly for 200k/200k and buying 2 walls a day to the point where it was felt like a chore. My TH9 wasn't entirely maxed either with a few ADs and Teslas to do.

Most importantly, my Lab upgrades were already completely maxed (DE included). I decided to move to TH10 to better keep my LAB occupied and continued researching.

People asked me why I went to TH10, well boredom was one of them with farming. Secondly, when pushing I realized that offence was pretty much 95% of where you get trophies from. So I'm now not focusing on offence troop and farming DE as well as elixer to upgrade my Camps, and LAB troop research upgrades.

Loot is as bad as they say it is. Because of the loot penalty, TH8s are no longer a profitable raid (rare 250k/250k) but what kills farming is the NEXT button and the use of spells that drain Elixer. Elixer is now a limited resource for an Early TH10 and actually quite hard to gain. So farming armies like Giant Healer Archer Wiz combos are now 150K elixer armies along with 3-4 spells per raid, against well fortified TH9 or Premie TH10s making it a drain on your elixer stoage. Elixer gain is then relied on DE Armies (Hogs for example). DE is relatively easier to gain since the trophy range that you're now farming is relatively richer with DE, however, you're use of DE is higher usage as a TH10 it really just balances out. Stronger army building and the new reliance on Spells has significantly slowed my rate of attacks.

The biggest problem with TH10 upgrades is build time, I've become more of a casual player now while waiting for upgrades that range from 10-14 days to complete. And there's actually no point to keep one builder behind as you'll have a lot of upgrades to work through (overwhelming actually). So from 500 attacks a season to 200 attacks or so.

I mainly want to go to th10 so I can upgrade walls while upgrading defence. So I could raid constantly without getting filled with gold.

btw loot isnt that bad you just have to do it differently.

at th9 I think you can get by on pure volume of attacks where as th10 you have to think more about profit as well as volume.

dont get me wrong - there are days where you cant seem to make a bean but as long as you make sure you are raiding smart and making monies its no biggie.

Well, I've been that crazy farmer at TH9; averaging 6mil a day and 12m-15m on a good day.
I can barely do 4 mil a day now with less attacks (because of the rate of training), I've done 9 mil a day as a TH10 but it was very tough to do and over 14 hours of playing LOL. Ontop of that, the storage gain is a fraction of what the gold grab says. At 4 mil a day, I probably did a little over 3mil that actually went to my storages the rest goes to the NEXT button costs of searching.

So you can say, loot isn't so bad for TH10, but it is still much worst that what TH9 was.
