Guess we need more sign ups for th 10
Unity I like the spirit of this! I'll sign up.
You mean if a hero is recovering health while you upgrade him/her to the next level? I don't think it is a big deal, because at most 3 hours of recover time is saved with this upgrade, and this upgrade usually doesn't happen too often. So the impact is negligible I think :) Unless I misunderstood your concern...
Thank you, I will add you to the participants list :)
Unity, after reading bill's post, you did misunderstand his concern. I think he is trying to say:
"Don't let people upgrade heros because then they can 'start and complete' (start upgrade and gem it to finish it) and then they can use them again, but the people that don't gem the hero upgrades won't be able to use it for a week, which will affect the loot ability of the person who didn't gem the hero negatively because he cannot use his hero to farm; consequently, resulting in lower loot potential of the person who didn't gem the hero than the person who did gem the hero."
Yes, that is a long sentence. :P
Bill's original quote:
don't have time to farm that much + almost finished with all walls so the moment it starts i'll mostlikely be upgrading TH for 10 days without anything left to farm for so i won't be participating.
If you could make another event when there is a 1 gem boost announced then i'd love to particapte, since i'm planning to farm all lvl 9 walls and a big part of lvl 10 during the boost event.
Thanks for clarifying it for me. Now I understand. Unfortunately I think that would be a slippery slope for other things to forbid down the road, such as lab upgrades for more powerful new troops (which can have similar effects). And then this can lead eventually to almost no gemming for anything. Because this is a long marathon with many seasons, and that people do accumulate free gems from achievements and obstacles, I don't think that it would be feasible to forbid participants to use their gems for things other than farming. I think most people who participate in this competition have a habit of not gemming heroes to completion, and I hope that this competition won't change that habbit. We will run a season and see how things go, if this becomes an issue for a fair competition, then we can think of a solution for future seasons :)
hmm, interesting. I will log everyone's hero level at the start and end of the new season and analyze at the end. Let's see how things go first season, if this becomes a problem, then maybe we will forbid it for the future.
But if a lot of people want to forbid this even for the first season, I am down for that as well. I only don't want to make things too complicated because this thing is just getting started and we have many more seasons to come...
You shouldd make a competition for false farmers as well.
