Maybe as part of the start of each cycle participants provide a screen shot of their base - this would show number of gems. Participants wouldn't be allowed to clear obstacles for gems in order to keep same gem count. Then at end of cycle participants provide new screen shot.

Might not be fool-proof but its easy.

Is this competition for only "True Farmers" ?

So when r the sign ups closing for this season

Can I still join? I can use some left over gems from the Masters achievement to gem my TH to 9 come Sunday evening. If so I'll definitely participate (hopefully I'll have time to play and won't get any more school papers to work on ;)).

since my clan is hard to find, my gc is canned-fries

it would be cool to restrict the number of hours a player can play. i mean its obvious, the ones with the most raids and play time will be able to get the most resources; for example, a player that can get 2m/per that plays 2 hours a day will only get 4million total while a player who's decent at farming gets 500k/per but play 12+ hours a day will still beat out the 'better' farmer because of more play time.

This competition is about dedication and skills, not skills alone. A skilled player who doesn't enough time to dedicate to this competition, will not score high here unfortunately.

To test farming skills alone, then a competition for only a few hours could be more suitable.

Sharp great inititive but i fear your opening a whole lotta trouble for yourself.

personally i think you need to exclude the insta upgrade of heros, you say this is about farming if i get enough to upgrade BK he sleeps for a week, if i start and complete, boom he is available again. This WILL impact on someones farming capability
