Is upgrading the Archer Queen worth it?

Hello,
I am about 2 months into town hall nine and I have a lvl 10 bk and lvl 9 aq. When I first got town hall 9 I planned on getting my archer queen to 10 and then stopping all hero upgrades (because of the major cost and the sheer time required to upgrade, as well as the increased heal time). Since then, heroes have gotten new abilities and the ability to boost. I recently got to masters and am using my 1k gems to boost one thing once a day, to make it last a while. My question is is it worth it to keep upgrading my queen to 20 and boost my queen rather than my sf, or to stop and use the builder and the gems elsewhere? Please reply with your reasoning.

I think that any way you put it, heroes are always worth the upgrade. once you get really high up there, they can be the core of your attacks and defenses

Of course. Because of her cloak mode and + health and damage.

Almost feel like the question is a joke. Watch videos of how ridiculously strong lvl 40 heroes are, and how long they last even against max bases...
