It is said that you get 1 bush or tree every 8 hours. But I am playing CoC 17 months now. Lets say 17 * 30 * 3 = 1500 trees and bushes.
But I only have 900 :(
- I log on every day
- I cut down all when a builder gets free
- members of my clan that I know played a lot shorter then me have more bushes cut down
What effects the number of bushes that get spawn? It can't just be every 8 hours 1 bush.
I play every day a session of 1 to 4 hours.
Your base is most likely spread out, and maybe you have lots of decorations?
The spawn rate decreases when the total spawnable area decreases. To get (close to) one obstacle per 8 hours you would need to be as low a TH as possible, wit as few buildings and as small a base as possible, and have all obstacles cleared to allow for new ones to spawn.
hmmm, I still have all decorations. Never feeled the need to sell them when they became useless. Guess that changed now.Quote:

Some people also claim that obstacle spawn rate drops if you're online a lot, but I really don't believe that has anything to do with spawn rate. I've had plenty of obstacles spawn inbetween raids, without logging out during the time.
Count the number of obstacles you've gained during that time. If you really did get the max number (7 or 8 x 3) then you've been extremely lucky. It seems that an obstacle tries to spawn every 8 hours on a random location, but if the location is occupied (by a building or decoration) the obstacle will NOT try to relocate, but will fail to spawn altogether. 8 hours later another obstacle will try to spawn at a random site, and will either succeed (location is empty) or fail (location is occupied) to spawn.Quote:

You might have gotten a heap of obstacles like you've written, and if so you should count yourself lucky :) quite many people have noticed the general trend, though, that obstacles won't spawn as frequently as the stated 8 hours, and in most cases these people are higher level THs with larger bases and often more decorations to go with it. There's much discussion about it in the thread I linked, have a read there and check out peoples' opinions and experiences.
They are still useful. You cannot deploy CC troops on a decoration. I struggle attacking some bases trying to drop CC.Quote:

If you want more bushes and trees, why do you cut them down in the first place?
serious though, you have to make room for them. With increasing village size the chances of an obstacle failing to spawn increase as well.

I don't think this can be true though. I as a th 10 uses more then 75% of the available spawn place. That means I would get less than 1 bush a day. Luckely I get more :DQuote:
