Farming elixer

Okay so I have a problem and maybe y'all have some ideas. I want to farm elixer but I can't because I use it to attack and it depletes everytime.

I'm town hall 10 and I farm in crystal leagues because loot sucks for th10 for the most part, (I've tried).

I use 15 giants, 15 wizards, 12 WB and 60 archers. I usually win but it uses a lot of elixer to make that army, hence why I can't save elixer. I feel as though an all archer army will die quickly farming in crystal,(from xbows, infernos, mortars). Oh and I also use rage and heal max. One of each to attack. Suggestions? I need elixer!

Use a WAY cheaper army, like Barch. Barbarians and archers. Maybe throw in a few WBs. :)

I knew someone would say that. I actually never really used barbarians. They are level 4 so I don't think that would be feasible.

Try farming for gold and youll come across an abundance of elixir(and not much gold)

Too bad, they are awesome at lvl 6. Though i know nothing about TH10 and Crystal, i'd say don't use wizards as they cost quite a lot, try Giants-Barbs-Archs and aim for big elixir loots and / or easy to reach storages. And you'll be able to raid a lot more without those wizards !

Bases with level 2 or 3 infernos, 2 or 3 level xbows. They have a lot of loot but good protection. Infernos and xbows murder archers and barbs with ease.

put each troop in a barrack so you don't have to worry about specific number of troops

1 barrack giants only
1 barrack wall breakers only
1 barrack goblins only
1 barrack archers only

thats what i use to farm all the way to crystal 2 and mid crystal 1, it's not that much cheaper than your army, but still gets the job done, you want to actually try NOT to use any spells

Those bases arent worth it... You would be getting just as much loot as you would if you did Barch or BAM...

15 wizards?! In Crystal? Ain't nobody got time fo dat. Change em to archers and you will have more elix and quicker raids. Aim for bases with a lot of elix if you find yourself falling short. I'm in the same league and mine is always overflowing, not sure what you're doing different to me!

How many giants do you use? Wb? And do you attack bases with infernos and xbows? Use spells?

Dont use wizzies!!

If barbs are still level 4, then stick with giants until you've leveled them to 6. Replace all 15 wizards with 20 minions and 20 archers or 30 minions if you wanna save more elixirs.

I also had a member in my clan that tried using all minions for farming DE, but he used them mostly on collector raids and they were level 6.

I am only th 9, but I'm seeing lots of elixirs in around gold 2/3, like 250k-300k elixirs every 20 next or so (with about 100k gold maybe), elixir is plenty here. Even with the th 10 loot penalty, you'd still be able to get at least 150k-200k from max elixir storage of th 8s and 9s.

If your problem was a snake it would have bit you.15 wizards!! Either use Bam, Barch, or a typical farming army e.g. Giants,WB,few archers and the rest gobs.

Minions are low level too. I don't use them but maybe I will one day. I use my DE for upgrading queen and king so I don't touch my elixer at all. But I'll try not using wizzies at all.

so what level are your troops? and maybe a picture of your base?

With spells being elixer it is harder to save elixer. Look for raids where you don't need spells. Calculate how much your army costs and only hit bases where you get a profit. Also consider using more dark troops during this time....

Use this army planner and see how much elixir you're using for your army. you'll realize you're going to have to find bases over 250k+ elixir to actually gain any noticeable profits. Also, use spells sparingly.

The best scenario for you would be to raid weaker bases with a cheaper army and use spells only if you see 300k+ elixir.

Also mixing in some Dark troops into your army for now might remove some stress on your elixir usage

Barbs are lvl 4...minions are low (probably lvl 2 or 3)...what were you think going to TH 10?

In gold league 1-2 there is too much elix so if u need elix go here

I farm with Hogs and my elixer is always overflowing if that helps - done all elixer upgrades expect the big lab ones -s o stays maxed until lab free....

(Both heroes are lvl 15 so done upgrading for a while)
army: TH10 240 space: (all troops maxed) 28-32 hogs, 5 minions (for BK) 10 barbs (for AQ) 2 giants for luring, rest archers for CC and taking out outlying defences etc
2-3 Heal spells (always have spell factory pumping out heal)
My CC filled with minions, archers or drags for clean up or help with their CC
My heroes for clean up

I cant raid nonstop due to real world, but when I can I make it count with big 300k gold raids etc and Hogs are one of most effective way of doing this to maxed th9s or weak th10s, even IT not such a problem if you do it right

I just got gobsmacked that he was raiding for elixir and using wizards...

I'm currently also farming elixir as I am a relatively new th10. I am in the process of upgrading all my camps. I am using a mass minion army to farm elixir and de in crystal 3.

I do keep 2 freeze spells, 2 heal spells and i lightning on hand in case i really need to drop a spell, but i rarely use spells. The elixir is stacking up quite nicely as I am using a 0 elixir army.

As soon as i start my 4th camp i will switch to a more conventional army. My minions are level 6 by the way.
