Whats the general sign that a TH7 defense is good? Winning every defense or not getting 2 star'd?
Kinda want to know, 95% of my defenses are losses to trophy droppers/farmers or people dropping trophies. The rest are from people on my level that I generally win or they only manage to win 1 star. The occaisional proper leveled 2 star+ usually comes when I have all my traps disarmed.
I feel that's hard to answer because every attacker is different and most often people use different troops/tactics so it is very hard to say. For example let's say your base is top notch against air troops but of course to do that there's going to be some sort of sacrifice you've had to do for defence against ground troops. There just is no perfect defence.
I just redone my base and the first attack did 68% damage so to be honest I'm already skeptical about this new design but he did hit me hard and I did have 3 weapons offline due to upgrades.
Well It depends really, for an average townhall 7 trophy range with avergare trophy base I'd say winning about 40% for farming you will really just be sniped.
even a fully maxed base can't win most of the attacks against it, at th7 anytime a maxed th8 attacks, you pretty much get pummeled every time and there is nothing you can do about it. So in other words expect to lose every battle unless a complete idiot attacks, they're dropping trophies or just go for resources/mines.
As previously mentioned, attackers will use different strategies so it's hard to determine. At TH7 with only 2 AD, id say air attacks are going to almost always win. I'd make your base tailored to defending against Giant/healer or Barch. The best you can do is triangulate your mortars, throw in some funneling and hope for the best.
You're most likely getting hit by higher level THs anyway, so if your base isn't holding up maybe you could drop a few trophies. I know my base will get owned by TH 8s/9s so I just throw my TH outside and hope someone pushing gives me a 12 hour shield.
To be a little more specific about my trophy range. I'm at Gold III at about 1.5K trophies. I don't farm so..
That trophy range is a bit high for a TH7 to maintain trophies since gold has become a popular farming league. I'd say drop to 1200ish to be a bit safer or try to win around 30-40% of your defenses.Quote:

I disagree, I'm maxed th7 except walls and i sit in the 1600-1700 trophy range quite comfortably, I have a farming layout so i get alot of th snipers giving me 12 hour shields constantly and when people actually do attack i find i win alot of defences, Even against premmie th 9's and 10's that i tend to pick on with barch :)
