Heroes total cost in $$$

We all know that heroes are expensive, but how expensive is that? Let's find out.

Barbarian King Archer Queen
The Barbarian King is unlocked at town hall 7 for 10,000 Dark Elixir. His upgrade costs goes up 2,500 DE until level 7, where it increases to 5,000 per level. Adding together the the costs and we can find his cummulative Dark Elixir cost is 3,752,500.

To upgrade from level one to level two takes twelve hours. Each upgrade takes twelve hours longer up until level 15, where it caps at 7 days. The total upgrade time would therefore be 227 days and 12 hours.

Using the Gem Calculator on the Clash of Clans Wiki (http://clashofclans.wikia.com/wiki/Cumulative_Costs), it will take 106,406 gems to buy the Dark Elixir, or $769.89. However, add the cost of building time and the number goes up. 227 days and 12 hours of time takes up 28,195 gems and another $204.97.

Archer Queen
The queen is unlocked at town hall 9 for 40,000 dark elixir. Unlike the king, the AQ's upgrades from 1-7 cost less than the purchase price. Upgrades 1-7 all go up 2,500, and it follow the same pattern as the BK with time and increase after the first few levels. The total DE cost is 4,172,500 and the time is 227 days and 12 hours.

Since the times were the same, we already know that 227 days and 12 hours is $204.97. However, it is about 400,000 more dark elixir for the upgrades. 4,172,500 DE takes 118273 gems, or a whopping total of $849.91.
Archer Queen Total Cost: $1054.88.

Heroes Cummulative Cost: 281069 gems, or
$2029.74.

Good too know i couldve just spend the money or a car..

Sorry to ruin your research but this isn't correct, the more time and Dark elixir you buy at the same time the cheaper it is. Putting all the numbers together doesn't show the real cost.

Example: 7 Days cost 1000 gems, 14 Days cost 1863 gems.
10 000 DE cost 600 gems, 20 000 DE cost 867 gems.
(according to the gem calculator, extreme difference for the DE right?).

However the DE reach the cap if you buy 200k DE everytime and won't be any difference (Buying all levels in the hero altar will cost alot more though).

The time is a different thing, it doesn't seem to be any cap on when it isn't cheaper anymore, for example, there's 26 levels on each hero that takes 7 Days to finish, gemming 7 Days cost 1000 gems, that's a total of 26 000 gems. If you gem the total right away (182 Days) it will only cost you 22 583 gems.

The DE cost should be accurate if you gem 200k every time but to get the time Costs right you have count the cost for each upgrade seperately since it's impossible to gem more time then it takes the upgrade to finish.

edit: Forgot that you won't manage to spend exactly 200k DE Before you have to buy more everytime, this will change the DE cost aswell. Sorry :rolleyes:

edit2: 7 Days cost 1000 gems but you won't be able to finish the upgrade within the first second, 6d 23h 59min 59 sec cost 999 gems.

In conclusion, it will actually be even more expensive.

I also have wonder the cost of max heros, but been to lazy to do the math. Thanks for this now I know lol and can never bring myself to spend that much on a game. Although I love clash of clans and would like to thank all the people that buy loads of gems and keeps this game free for us. 👍

Made me laugh since unfortunately the third one is actually true in many cases.

This is the most expensive game in mankinds history. This game was created by satan himself to make us all broke if we start buying gems.
