I just finished visiting a clan that was starting out. I provided them with troops and helped them recruit some players. They were telling me that they couldn't believe I gave them good troops because "most high level players don't think we deserve good troops." That's what they told me.
I found their reaction to be interesting. Based on their view champion league players sound selfish. Is your view on champion league players the same? Different?
It's interesting, I personally noticed a LOT of difference in global when I had a champ badge to when I was just carrying gold or crystal, I do think people tend to feel a little out of their depth or maybe uncomfortable around red badges. It's a shame really we are all the same.
usually when newer players see the red shield they get all excited and think they don't deserve their words or troops like they're famous or something

I have never met one personally, except for in global. And the ones I've met in global seemed somewhat snobby, but hey, do you really expect to find any signs of intelligent life on global?
I wouldn't say Champion players. The higher level players are often very snotty and have a self-inflated sense of self-worth. Not all, but quite a few. For example, I was chatting to one of my friends on Norsk and some Masters league players from The Fog started bashing on me for being TH9 and not having gone past 2200 trophies. I can understand muting players if you're being spammed as a Champ or something, but some are just downright rude.
I think your view might be skewed. Being in a clan with 1000 trophies free to join I see a lot of newbs or people who don't understand the game. I can't tell u the number of times I see people asking to fill their CC with things it just can't hold. My fave is 0/15 asking for dragons pekkas and golems only.

I've been residing in Champ for the past week or so, and I started off with the nice attitude, trying to give them tips, letting them down gently that they could not join and I wouldn't join them etc.
But after a week I'm thoroughly fed up with global and find it hard to talk in there. We get hassled so much by low levels, you can't even start up a normal conversation, and it's that that turns Champs into these so called 'selfish' people. When people asked these questions, I ended up just saying no, and giving no reason when they asked why. It just too tiring trying to be nice to this mass of people who don't seem to be able to think for themselves.
I look at the selfies some of them take and post, and am glad I'm not in champions.
Not sure my opinion on them is one of the options in the poll, but the "alright" choice would be the closest.
It's possible that my opinion on champs are invalid since my phone rarely lets me view global chat, (it's as afraid to go into global as I am) but honestly I don't see much of a difference between them and players of other leagues. I suppose it's fair to assume certain personality differences between champs and the common, casual player. For example, I've nosed around champion players and noticed clear signs that some of them have gemmed their way up. When I say gem, I don't mean that they gem their barracks and spells to be competitive, I mean they have max'd bases and still haven't completed Gold Grab. I don't personally see the point in doing this, but it takes a certain type of person to decide to spend all of that money. Not bashing on these guys in any way shape or form, but I do have respect for the many champs that spent little to no cash on the game because that is the impressive way to do it.
Anywho, all I'm saying is that you can spot different personalities from the way people play this game. Many people play it very casually, some play it as a fun hobby such as myself and find entertainment in watching one's own work result in an improved village, and some confuse CoC with reality. People who have accomplished more in CoC do have in-game bragging rights I guess, but it is just a game so when people boast about it, just laugh.
