I'm sorry but no, my trophy base has held up countless times against maxed hogs, full fledged TH10 armies and such but my base has actually survived those attacks and in crystal 2, that already is a huge success.Quote:

Tempest is tried and true. It's not as popular as the others which is why it's so effective.
The two most publicized bases are most widely used. A savvy attacker already is familiar with those bases and knows how to attack them.
Tempest and Shuriken are fairly new. I'm using the Tempest (supposedly better for trophies than Shuriken) for farming and I am not suffering any major losses.
I haven't been attacked by a large hog army but I suppose if I went up in trophies I might, but the base has proven itself against the average hog farmer. It excels against giants and clobbered a balloonian recently.
All four are good based but I put my money on the one many attackers haven't seen and might pass because of unfamiliarity.
Let's be honest..... if a really good attacker with really good troops has his sights set on your resources, the best you can do is limit what he gets.
I like Tempest.
Any of those bases are good enough. Some layout are just as good as a layout can be. Tempest is my clanmate at cavebears and the creator of 3 good layouts outhere: The tempest, Shuriken, and Nexus Core. They are all good for the purpose he created for.
The tempest is a high level funelling base. It works very fine, its already tested and has a lot of replays on internet, just check his thread.
The shuriken is more about bruteforce, with some funneling inside, so it might be better when u have more cups.
The Nexus Core is a Trophy push base inspired on southern teaser. It has some funneling system and awesome bridge to protect innercore from top attacks and teaser from bottom.
Well, any TH8 bases are susceptible to get 100%, specially if u go higher in ur trophys. Ull get attacks u cant defend, because high level troops are just too much for ur defense, even when it is maxed. No layout is bulletproof. They are just as good as they can be.

It is working verywell agains hogs, BAM, Barch, Giant-Healer... I got 100% days ago, agains level6 wizzs, golums, witches, and high level heroes.
40 level 6 loons have already 3 starred me aswell.
IS my layout bad? It is working fine for me. My traps work well and confuses raiders.
