How would this work with different time zones - it is morning here but evening in other places - it would be dark when I visiting farms in Europe for example? How do you farm/purches etc in the dark. At present I can play whenever I want to to but if it was dark.......:confused:
There was a thread about night time earlier but I could not locate it.
I don't know specifics... It should be done by time zones... Maybe not completly pitch black, but darker than it is now. Maybe even just a sunset.
I think the farm would be beautiful with the light of a full moon. If we could see the sky, stars would be beautiful too. I have an old Droid wallpaper where the lighting of the scene changes with the time of day. I like it. But I wonder how natural it will feel to farm in the dark. Maybe we could turn on daylight if we want. Having that option would add interest to the scenery as would changing weather patterns.
I think it would be hard to manage all the time zones and it would feel a bit odd to be farming at night and as I do quite a bit at night as I am often unable to do it during the day......
Rather than linking this to players individual time zones, perhaps this might be the type of idea which would be best suited for an on/off filter or timer which each player controls, then each can determine when and for long his farm is in the dark. As long as its not pitch black, farming could still go on, and a twilight stroll through the fields could be most relaxing after a long day milking, wheating, and steaming bacon.
I like the idea of sunsets, stars, and moonlight. It would be a perfect setting for the Valentine's Day soirée and the midnight waltz. The farm lanterns could be lit along Lover's Lane, snow globe lanterns could provide ambiance on the dance floor...lots of potential!
As someone else pointed out, it's snowing now, so why not the occasional rain shower (just no flooding please:)). Crops can't grow without rain, and once I get to the rice growing phase, a little rain will surely lessen the amount of water I'll have to haul up from the well or from the river to keep those rice paddies moist!
It would be nice to have a day and night based on local timezone.
Oh yes, sounds good :-) Maybe we could make it so that you get a benefit from playing during the day, like reduced growing times etc. This would encourage people to, idk, sleep and stuffs xD It's kind of addictive :-)
It could be possible to only be able to catch certain fish at night and day for example.
Why is there no night in hay day ?

I saw someone mention it in a thread in the idea/suggestion section of the forum. Since there are players around the world, night would be at different times for different players. I don't know how one could help someone out on their farm if it was dark out though. Can you imagine trying to find the trees and bushes to water? I can't find them during the day let alone at night, lol.Quote:

Imagine the work involved for the Game developers if they implemented a hay day night time. Besides they would have to change the name of the game, I mean you couldn't exactly call the game 'Hay Day' then could you? It would have to be something like 'Hay Day and Night'.
Somehow I can't see that working and not many players would like it I don't think for obvious reasons.
Having darkness for several hours each day would limit people's ability to play for significant amounts of time. Sometimes I can't play during the day, and have to make up for lost time in the evenings. Sometimes I play at midnight. I think this idea would create problems for players.
Well, I understand that it's not easy because there are many players all around the world !
But my post sound like a joke ....!:p
I imagine we can have a flashlight to check that everything is ok ! ;)

No, your idea doesn't sound like a joke, this has been asked many times before.
With all the different time zones I think it would be a difficult task for any programmer.
Maybe like Weather Change sometimes?

It would require us the spend coins/vouchers/diamonds on some lighting to light key areas.
Because people play globally, and night time would depend where you are in the world, time of day would differ on every farm you visit. They could do say... 4 hours of light, then 1 hour of dark globally, so everyone would be on the same light level.
Would be even cooler if night time mode had certain features- say... chickens are sleeping so you couldn't collect eggs, etc.
I know there's a thread for this idea, but I wanted to post here so more people might see it. I think Hay Day would be even more awesome if this feature was added. Zombie Farm has it, and I loved seeing my farm gradually dimming in the evening. Things like mushrooms, flowers and rocks would light it up and it looked totally different than it did during the day. Hay Day would look even better-the campfire and lanterns would glow, the main house windows would light up, the headlights on the delivery truck could come on, etc. Maybe the toolboxes could have glowing items that only appear at night!
I'm not sure how the cycle is programmed but in ZF all the farms I visited were synced to my cycle. it was one of the main reasons I played ZF (it certainly wasn't the poor graphics). I hope the Devs think about adding it in a future update!!
Will it be possible to have a time frame, sun up daytime and moon and stars night time with lights actually working at night etc?
Please make upgrade become day and night. Like zombie farm . If i play at 19.00 so my farm have light and candle have fire
Ive been really wanting some change in scenery, it would be really cool to have the day and night feature along with actual lighting up lamp poles. Anyone agrees?

hi .... I think night time in game will b interesting n the lamps n fire u provide for decoration gives us light in night time orange n coconut trees r also great wat u think of bananas ??? n beside it I will surely complain abt price of machines as u bring update wid new machine u raise the price of it... as last was of 220000 coins smoothie mixer... jus don't force us to play game wid less interest... I m playing this game frm last 15mnths or so....
I must agree, the prices are so unfair and way too unfriendly...honestly, I'm loosing my interest for the game. I mean, we all have a real life, we can't spend eternity in the game trying to get stuff!
About night mode - I'm soooo in love with this idea! ♥

It might be kind of hard to implement as the game is stored on a server and players are from many different time zones. And before you say that they can tie it to your device clock, most games have stopped doing this as it is the easiest way to avoid having to wait for things to build or happen and thus chèãt the game by changing your device clock.
But I always wanted to see my farm at night with the Christmas lights twinkling

I was wandering... Is it just me, or wouldn't it be fun to experience the night time in this game? It wouldn't have to be 8 full hours of dark, but maybe more like 3 or 4, with sleepy animals fun to disturb, special challenges and - what I really aim with this - a whole new set of possibilities regarding light fixtures : lampposts, torches, but also Chinese lanterns and, yes, the inevitable special lights for Christmas and Halloween...

I thought of this the other day, not sure how it could/would work. It would be cool, or what about weather? Rain could bring dead trees back to life, and lighting could randomly get rid of the dead trees. That would be cool. :)
I think this ida would make the game more interesting. It would also make it the light won't be as bright on your eyes at night
There are several previous threads that discuss why this would be difficult to implement.
