Brilliant idea must read!!!

i know its not the best idea but i just wanted people to read this

ok what i think is very annoying is when people just get like 3 lightning spells and steal your dark elixir, i know for maybe really high level players it wouldn't affect them but it really annoys me! and what annoys me even more is that u don't get a shield or anything to stop this so the next person can just come along and steal your dark elixir again!

so, what i think supercell should do about this is make dark elixir storages more protected against lightning spells
maybe you could add something where lightning spells will not do much damage to storages but will act normal elsewhere. I'm not saying make them invincible against lightning spells just maybe if they would do less damage to storages therefor less loot will be obtained by them

I'm not referring to the title, I'm referring to where you remarked on how your idea actually wasn't that brilliant. If you want dark elixir, make some lightning spells and do the same as them. Heck, get some revenge on them the same way with lightning spells.

firstly most of them have bases where they have abouts 200/300 dark elixir available so theres not much point in me getting revenge they wont care
secondly what happens to me a lot is a train an army for revenge( in this case train 3 lightning spells) and by the time there done i can revenge them cos they have a shield
i have just been really annoyed about people using lightning spells to take my dark elixir, in one case someone stole almost 1000 from me from just lightning spells(938) and when i speak to my clan mates and even others on global chat they have the same problem

Everyone has the same opportunities, if everyone seems to have 10x less dark elixir than you, that should tell you something. Upgrade your storage so they get less per hit, and if they are all 20 levels above you, drop trophies to a point where people can't tear your base to shreds.

the first point u made i have maxed out the dark elixir storage for townhall 8 but the second point about dropping trophies is a good idea, just hope i don't have to go too low but thanks for the help👍

No problem. Those people with 3-4 lightnings spells destroy whatever they please. Gotta avoid em till the hitpoints on your objects are a little higher.

I have the same problem, trust me on that.
I agree with you on the problems on revenge, 90% of my revenges isn't worth it.

But in my opinion this is nothing to get mad at. lightning spells do damage, and damage gets you loot.
If I would come on the forums, complaining about how my wizard towers got destroyed by 3 lightnings, what would you say?

Its a part of the game pal, and if you play it you need to accept stuff like that.
I get mad when someone higher that me completely destroys me when i save up for higher cost upgrades, but I know the people I raid will get mad too.

Spend your mental energy on something else, and get out raiding looting more DE instead ;)

And at the OP, This could be good for 'some' users, But, nothing to get mad at, just upgrade your drills, they remake a lot at high levels over night, I've been lightening a lot, yeah it can be annoying, but I just upgraded my drills, and get loads a night, and upgrading Heroes nicely.

These are lightning spells. Spend more of your DE on things, so people are less tempted.

i dont think i was specific enough, I'm close to maxing out my townhall 8 base, just gotta do some archer towers,walls,collectors and barracks and I'm ready for townhall 9. also I'm not mad, when someone takes my elixir with troops and even if they destroy my base, ive learned to to let if pass, they got it fairly
mayhe this changes when i get to townhall 9, then I'll be earning of more dark elixir i presume and this wont be a problam

what i think is unfair is the amount of dark elixir that people take from lightning spells alone especially at my stage where I'm trying my best to get as much as I can and my hard work goes away just like that
REMEMBER- i also thought it was a bit unfair how u dont get a shield for it and ur dark elixir can be stolen by someone else the very next minute so thats why i came up with this idea

also i said i had almost maxed out base, well i am saving up for the next thing in my lab which is level 4 minions and its kinda difficult when 3 people use lightning spells in 1 day just to take the dark elixir from me

"Zapping" (the official word for lightning de storage in CoC terminology) should still be allowed. Your solution to this problem, reducing the amount of damage lightning spells do to storages is pointless, the spell would become useless. As a former zapper myself, I am defending the th7s who can't make de from their drill. I bet 90 percent of all zappers are th7. Thank you very much, Platypus Dude.

yes ur probably right but i was talking about people roughly the same level as me, if someone was townhall7 and they "zapped"my base , i would destroy them, and besides there spells aren't that high a level compared to the ones at townhall 8/9.
and also, my idea does not make lightning spells pointless?! lightning spells can be used to destroy other important building aswell( such as a couple of splash defences) and this would help your troops in battle
when u are abouts my level you will probably encounter the same problem
