Should I have just jumped to TH 6 already?

I got the advice and see all the time here people saying to max everything before jumping up a TH. But I'm sitting here at TH 5 everything maxed but mines and pumps, didn't realize they leveled up so high and took so long. I have everything in the lab researched as much as I can.

So I'm just sitting around with my storage maxed, gold and elixer sitting there doing nothing, it seems like if I upgraded to TH 6 a while ago I could at least be upgrading the troop levels and throwing gold into new walls when I have some extra. So was that poor planning on my part? I do kind of like just hanging back relaxing, I'm messing around with different troop combinations and just goofing around waiting for my mines and pumps to upgrade. Should I go to TH 6 or just keep hanging out in upgrade limbo?

Absolutely upgrade - you will be fine. Unless of course you enjoy the break from raiding or the messing around with troop combos. Really do whatever is fun for you, but you will be fine to upgrade if you choose to.

Yeah I was a little surprised at the amount of time upgrades were starting to take. I'm guessing the days continue to add on as you level up. 3 days to upgrade a mine? It must take a week or 2 to upgrade some higher level buildings huh?

Longest upgrade time is 14 days. By TH9 most everything takes at least a week.

it's fine to jump
I skipped th6 too... I'm just upgrading my gold storage on TH6 and as soon that finish I can pay and start the TH7 construction.

I do it on my mini account as well, most of my clanmates do this as well... and we're all fine :o

those max everything way is already outdated when the loot system changed months ago, but people still use the outdated guide.

you should jump to th7. you get all your pumps/mines and four camps. loot is great.
