I cant believe they didn't fix this yet...
It's hard to believe in such a big game it hasn't been fixed. I noticed this myself, as my archers that took 14 days finished hours after i started 2 weeks before.
Any update on this issue supercell?
Yeah very interesting. Could you also time how long it takes to load the app? (from tap to open, until village displayed)
As OJM suggested, it may well be that the loading time is the delay added.
It's sort of weird though, because it means the server is sending how much time REMAINS, which is a value relative to the server when it received the client's request, and this value is obviously wrong when the client receives and processes it. If the server sent WHEN the upgrade or unit finishes, which is an absolute value, there would be no loss of loading time.

I've had something similar but I didn't use gems. I just relized that some upgrades might be a few minuts later than it should be. That's why I upgrade at the moment a new hour starts. So I can prove that it taking longer than it should. But I think I got lucky or something, I'm upgrading my town hall to a level 7 and with my calculations(so far) it should finish an hour early.
next task for anyone who is inclined?
Are the collectors, mines and indeed drills, working to time?
I.e. after exactly 1hour, are level 11 mines/collectors producing 3000 resources...or is it 2950 or something, because that too has lagged?
