What will eventually happen as finish times keep adding additional minutes & hours is that your upgrade finishes later & later into the night (since all non-hero upgrades are measured in full-day increments). No matter how well you plan it, upgrades will finish while you sleep unless you shave some time off with gems.
Then again, by using gems to finish 1 upgrade so you can start another means the next upgrade will once again finish late into the night.
it's a never ending cycle :(
my only comfort is that we are all affected by this glitch.
so there really is a bug! I always thought it was my ipad going bonkers and the date and time setting should be changed or something. Hope SC fixes this soon, I'm running out of trees and shrubs to cut down for gems hehehe.

Does SC have any more info about this problem? The last i heard that they had new info was a while ago, so it would be interesting to see what they know now.
I forget if this has been reported or not but the research lab is affected also.
I started rage L4 spell 5 days ago at 7:20. I log in today at 7:20 to check it, it has 43 minutes to go.
Someone else time a research lab and confirm this please.

Everyone is raging the amount of time lost (due to upgrade glitch), i understand use are doing your best to fix it. I know for one i have had some issues with upgrades.
But this doe's not stop me from playing at all, i do feel a value of time maybe lost as it has pro-longed for a while.
I mean maybe, Supercell could contribute a free research upgrade to compensate a loss of time for players. I understand there was a glitch in the past, but maybe it will make players feel valued and compensate for their loss of time.
Clearly, its not a certain individual with these issues, it is everyone who must be affected. This is just a recommendation whether use do or don't is upto use.
I do hope use at least consider something if not this.
Yeah a monthly upgrade/research reduction would definitely help compensate for this. It's really annoying doing upgrades at night (Around 6 PM) and they pushed back towards midnight over time. <_<
