drastically reduced loot for farmers.

I'm relatively new to the game, and have steadily progressed in my month of playing. However, I'm being constantly attacked by and loosing to people with low rank but all level six troops/spells. It strikes me as insanely unfair that somebody who should by rights be in crystal or champions is busy obliterating my gold lvl defense and raking in 500k+ hauls from me. I'd like grossly diminishing returns not just based upon town hall lvl but also player level. If you're level ninety and suck too bad. I don't believe you should be able to farm extremely lower level players with impunity.

Unfortunately, though you may not have experienced it yet, level is ridiculously easy to manipulate, through donations/not collecting achievements. Furthermore, there are significant loot penalties to protect lower town halls (if you've been playing for a month, you should be around th 6-7). As long as you stay active and clear your mines/collectors, you should have players 2 town halls above you or more attack only rarely. If, however, you upgraded your town hall too early, I'm sorry, but you bypassed the built-in safeguards.

You need to drop cups if you are getting hammered, dropping to Silver 2 should help you as most TH9 farmers are finding good loot at the gold 2-3 levels right now. If you can not defend at gold level then attack at that level and drop back down to Silver 2-3 before you go offline. It will get better...

Too many people doesn't understand this. It's incredible. I keep saying this to my clan's members, and they still ask me "why?" and I havo to explain it eeeeevery f**king time... Umbelivable

It would seem that you upgraded your townhall without maxing it to a certain level, please tell us your level and Townhall level so we can give better advice

You've probably rushed your townhall without maxing your defense at each townhall level. Seeing the 500k number, you're probably premie th9 or even 10. You've got a few choices...use your gold before logging out, drop to silver or even lower and rake in smaller loot with cheaper troops, or go up in trophies hoping that you can make more loot than the amount you lose.

You should've joined the forums a long time ago and realize rushing townhall isn't very smart, especially if you're not a frequent player, by frequent I mean people that spends more than 4-6 hrs a day on the game. They can manage by raking in enough to sustain through the loot penalty.

One last thought...I've never tried it, does factory resetting the device and then making a new gamecenter account give you a new start in Clash of Clans?

farming is really the only way that people can do good upgrades. you may hate it now, but when you try it out you will understand its a great thing in the game

I appreciate all the advice, especially about rushing my town hall. But my town hall is level eight, none of my D is maxed and I think that some of the raised ideas miss the point. I'm level 52, people at level 90-110 are regularly spanking my defense with maxed troops/spells. This is horrible game design. It takes out any skill involved. I'd just like to see diminishing returns based on level. Farming should be part of the game, doing so against players half your level and still reaping significant(for the lowbie at least) rewards shouldnt be.

Sorry but have to disagree, matchmaking is designed perfectly fine.

As a TH8 at lv 52 your base would be relatively weak; your best defense now is resource management. Focus on keeping your gold/elixir low and just upgrade whatever you can afford for now.

Once you nail those cheaper upgrades your defense will have a better chance to protect your storage's to help you save for the bigger ticket items.

I am TH9, and suffer a 10% loot penalty if I attack a TH8. If you have a lot of loot in your storage's I will attack, if you keep that loot low I will skip.

Disagreeing is fine, but you didn't actually give reasons. How is it acceptable that a person at level 90-110, with all maxed troops/spells is obliterating somebody half their level and gaining significantly from it? That is truly awful game design. Again, farming is totally fine, but why should somebody intentionally not ranking so they can attack lowbies be so?
