I sell my goods for next to nothing to help out fellow players to be rewarded with a stupid strawberry ice cream cone!?!?! Are you fricken kidding Hay Day??? What kind of ♥♥♥♥ is that???? I saved all my gift cards until I had 40 in hopes of a better chance of diamonds or that adorable turtle....but a strawberry ice cream cone?!?!?! This game is really starting to suck!!!!!!

I figure it's an ice cream I wouldn't have had otherwise. I help others mostly to help. The prize really doesn't figure in. On the other hand, I have heard of several people who got the brt (big red tractor) from the mystery boxes.
No one told you to sell your goods for next to nothing. I am sure they would have been happy to pay what you consider a fair price. When you do things for others, it is usually because you like the feeling you get for helping them. When you water trees it costs you nothing. But you get points toward the green thumb achievement and XP. When you fill a crate you get coins and XP and boat points. Those are the things you do to get the gift cards and thank you notes, not selling your goods for next to nothing. The gift cards and mystery packages are extra. If you don't like what they give or the mystery, then don't buy them. Wait till you get the mystery tool box, you will get a tool with that one and it's only five gift cards. Gift cards that don't cost you anything, that you get for free. In a virtual farm that costs you nothing to play. Where you make goods that cost you nothing to make. Where you and you alone decide what to do with those goods. If you don't like what you GET for those goods, do something else with them. The choice is yours.

I remember the first time I receive ice cream for 35 gift cards - I was pretty ticked just like you are, but then a moderator came on and told me I received more than one. So I'm betting you did too, probably 3. And my daughter once received brown sugar for the smallest gift box. Ever since then we laugh when we get something goofy like that, though more often than not we get the even goofier wedding cake topiaries or some such useless item (I'm up to 7). And these days, I'd take ice cream over those darned topiaries. Just keep trying! The fun is in the anticipation!!

Stop selling stuff so cheap unless it's something that's hard to sell. Sell most things at full price. To repeat, you don't get gift cards for selling stuff. So, while you're still going to have the problem of disappointment from reviving trees and filling crates to save those cards only to get an ice cream or your 18th heart topiary, you'll at least not be losing any more coins due to not truly understanding what earns you the card.
Just be patient. You'll get that turtle eventually (it is a cutie). Check out the BRT thread in Off-Topic if you want to see folks waiting forever to get a particular item. LOL

Eh, I can understand it. I have all the chickens and I feed them constantly when I'm playing, to keep them producing. But...a lot of very experienced, knowledgeable people only harvest eggs when they need them. That's basically the same thing as not buying all the chickens you can, since you don't get any XP or gifts when the chickens aren't producing.Quote:

I'm kind of regretting buying a donkey. It gives a lot of XP, but so far, not a single gift.
