when im th9 how am i supposed to have 2 heroes always upgrading?

seems almost impossible for me but some say you should do that whilst farming gold... i could never

Play for several hours per day, boost your barracks and farm dark elixir hard. Also when ever you have enough dark elixir to upgrade a hero gem the builder free currently upgrading the hero. You can do it but not many really do it.

do you do this?

You gain 3.2k d.e per day by just clicking on your drill.

Lets say you zap every half hour for say, 8 hours per day? =16k dark elixir from zapping
lets say you raid 5 times an hour for lets say 4 hours of sitting down and actually raiding? = 5k-10k dark elixir from raiding

=24.2k-29.2k dark elixir per day

=169.4k-204.4k dark elixir per week (before being raided)

Lets say you get raided for 2k per night

=155.4k - 190.4k

So you should be able to upgrade both heroes continually until they are level 17 each if you are average at farming or level 21 if you are above average.

Probably more if you balloonion as I have been told that you net about 10k+ dark elixir per hour

Having both heroes upgrading was very easy up until they reached lvl 14-15, where the DE cost was too high for me to have them always both upgrading.
I'm a "pretty good" farmer, very casual compared to others, but I think I have a good strategy as I manage to get enough gold to max my TH9 while upgrading my lvl 9 walls, and my heroes are at a good lvl (BK going to lvl 20 and AQ lvl 15). Without focusing on DE farming, I still manage to get enough DE to have AT LEAST one heroe upgrading constantly past lvl 15 (before that I managed to have them both upgrading for the first few weeks of TH9).

So don't give yourself a headache: Just play and farm the way you want. But yes, you should use all your DE on heroe upgrades. You won't need DE troops if you're farming, but heroes are a very nice addition to your base.

No way, I got my heroes to lv10 and they can stay there for a while. I am anyway closing to the point where I will consider my base as finished, even if far from truly maxed.

I had the same experience, just raiding for gold I got enough dark elixir to keep one heroe upgrading. Then I went to masters and never left and make more than enough, but need a heroe for those occasional 48-49% to get to 50%. :).

I used barch with 8 wbs, in gold 3-2.

there is no de in gold 3-2 whatsoever though!
