Should I start farming level 8 walls?

I have been asking myself this... With school, it's hard for me to play the game a lot except on weekends. The other problem is, I receive too much work, so I can't always play on weekends too. By play I mean raid, I can always go up to chat though. If I start working on my walls then I wouldn't have my gold sitting around for nothing. Also, I got a Spring Break coming at April 3-12, so I can try to have at least 200 level 8 walls by the end of that break since I can play a lot during the breaks. You can also see my base if you want to help me decide.

Walls are always are good upgrade but I'd work on your other defences

Just raid as often as you can, save to do cheapest def to keep builders busy.
do walls when you can raid more often.
KEEP builders busy you can never get lost builder time back.

On topic: Don't waste your time on your walls, get those defenses maxed.

I bet if you spent less time on the forums increasing your post count to an insane number you would be able to make your base a little less premature...

id say do defences first due to how much walls cost.

Best advice you'll get BG. Spend every bit of gold on defence upgrades.

Should you have any left over and a builder free then do the odd wall.

Level 8 walls fairly useless, level 9 completely useless.
Your defense needs quite the boost, I wouldn't even think about walls unless you have max gold.

How are the walls useless? Also the thing about defenses is that they are more expensive than walls, and when I save up gold they are worth raiding which will result that difficulty in my saving up while I have stuff to do. While walls, level 8 walls, are only 500k gold and barely anyone would raid you for that.

Just looked at your base.

Probably get your splash damage up to town hall 9 standard or town hall 8 standard at the minimum.

I would honestly get everything maxed for th8 and then max splash and then maybe level your walls again?

Kinda hard to tell but I may even wait a bit longer with the walls for now as your defence is really quite low.

Hmm, even the poll shows I need to do walls more I am more convinced doing defenses first. This is also a good reasoning why I should do defenses.

In my opinion upgrade all your defenses then walls to their max. Then your townhall

I think that people are saying you should farm the walls, but aren't actually looking at your current situation.

Your base is horribly premature.
Level 4 wiz tower, Level 5 air defences, Level 9 cannons, Level 9 Archer Towers, Level 6 mortars
Teslas no idea but I'm assuming they're Level 3/4.
Level 1 xbow
Level 1 inferno tower.

You definitely need to work on defences. If you want a mini reference, look at me, I'm a nearly-maxed out TH9 and you should at least have those defence levels that I have to be on the safe side for now as TH10 upgrades vary between a minimum of 6.4million to 8 million gold each. [my teslas are level 7 if you can't see them]

Walls aint going to do much when people rush wallbreakers in easily. But Level 7 walls should be fine enough for now.

Lol I know my base is premature, I found that out after I stopped being a noob :p I think that I heard more reasons for defenses than walls. Which makes me will do them. What defense should I start off with?

Honestly man I have the same problem I am lvl93 th9 and have 10 walls lvl8 I think once I am done pushing I will farm like crazy get 4 builders working on single shot defence and heroes then have 1 builder just for walls I have the same problem as you school...
I just do my best to work around it and farm like hell when I have a break I guess it makes up for weekdays

Completely inaccurate statement... Most armies that will attack you in the farming trophy range you will be in for a long time are ground based cheap troops. The second most common attack is a giant based attack with wallbreakers and archers or wiz behind maybe a healer thrown in. All of which are stifled with high level walls.

If you like getting 2 or 3 starred with cheap troops, by all means, ignore the walls. Obviously, defenses are important, after splash damage is done, 1 more level of archer or cannon isn't as big a deal. Level 8 are not hard to do at all.

Splash and walls. Why not do both, you should not be working on one and ignoring the other. Although so far it looks like you've been ignoring both, lol.

The problem with both is that you might have problems with trying to save up gold for both. Unless you meant having one free builder, and fill up storage then dump gold on walls. That would be fine.

Walls are a good upgrade, but you should work on your defences if you don't want to be a noob forever ;)

it's pretty easy in the space of the week when I was trophy pushing yes not even farming, I got 15 lvl 8 walls done so you should do it.

What I do is work on defenses and do walls either with the extra gold, while I'm doing elixir upgrades, or while I'm pushing.

Yes, that extra few hundred hitpoints is worth 125 million gold, enough to almost completely max your defenses from your position.
Be my guest, but almost everyone I've talked to says that level 8's weren't great and level 9's were absolutely useless.

I hope you know what im trying to say... Just putting it kindly to you, Walls are more of deterrent which can be a good thing on your defence log, you gain some "respect" from high lvl walls as well.

Who's in it for the respect anyway?
Do what's fun, and if fun is not losing defenses, than upgrade defense!

Personally, i don't think you should upgrade your walls. Focus on other defenses first

I'm only th8 (maxed def) but my def is still higher than yours... Do def. Once your def is th9 maxed imo start walls then. I'm doing skulls now & you're right, not many people will raid you for 500k gold.

Yea, lvl 8 walls look good, but from the wallbreaker point of view they dont make much difference, but they do make a difference to all other troops (except air of course).

So do walls when you can and enjoy the game!

Walls are always a great thing to upgrade, especially when its one of those times when you can't clash as often as usual for a straight week or 2. Just put in about 3-5 good raids a day and you should be moving at an acceptable pace

Tbh, after looking at your base, i have come to the colclusion that yes, you should start farming.

Walls, defense, camps, whatever, just start farming and you'll be good. 😂

I am afraid i do up all my walls those people use barch will not attack me anymore :(

Very sorry to do small bump, but I have decided. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice and told me what I can do. I decided to work on buildings and leave one builder free. While I have extra gold for walls (ex: archer tower is 1.5 million and I have 2 million, I spend on a level 8 wall) I will use that free builder on the wall. Like I'm doing now, I have 5 skullies now and my I'm whipping at those other 4 builders to work on those buidlings! :rolleyes: good idea?

Max Defenses completely...then farm walls...no point in having a free builder. You have a lot to upgrade...walls are last priority:p

Indeed it is nice to have max buildings, but walls slow down troops.
