No they shouldn't, people would just join clans for gems
the obstacles: trees, bushes etc re-spawn and give now i believe 1-5 gems and I agree the top players are not the ones that need gems... i am guessing the top players who get them every time dont have anything left to upgrade and thus just have 1000s of unused gems
so i think just getting rid of it would help
Idea is simply not needed, The reason gems are there is for a reward if your clan is high in leaderboards,

Y would anyone want that. That it is what pushes people to play more and get to the top 3 clans
Look, even some of the top clans don't have 50 people. And as people said before, people would join clans for gems

They should just remove the free gems at end of season. If you watch the top 3 spots just before season the ends. The players reorganize into new or other clans so they can distribute the gems how they want.
