Dont do it, stay at th 7 as long as possible, it the sweet spot for farming. It doesn't take long to max th 7.

Get your offense (camps+troops) and defenses + walls up to scratch, then you can go to TH8. With levle 5 troops, TH8 does have an easier time getting DE, but at the same time you will become the favourite target of farming TH9s - There's always a trade-off. But on the other hand, you'll get to pick on TH7s all day long. Just make sure those things are maxed, or you will have a much harder time transitioning into TH8.
