Something odd happened today. When I got my new boat order I tried changing my farm name to say what I needed. It kept coming up "invalid name." Is it because its already taken or something else?
Thanks for your insights.

Did you put &/ etc. signs to your farm name? I think it won't take &-mark.
It doesn't allow special characters or faul / bad names. :)
Cheers,
Nick
I'm having a great deal of trouble. Right now I'm stuck with "Penny's Place" (and yes, the apostrophe is in it) for my farm name but I want it to be my name. Why am I having issues with it? These are some of the variations I've tried:
Penellas Farm/ Penellas Place/ Penella's Farm/ Penella's Place/ Penella's/ Penella5 / Penella/ and I'm sure there were a few more.
I don't understand how my name is invalid, foul, or bad... Please help!
Hi, I've been wondering the same thing regarding invalid farm names. My Game Center name is "Tropicaltam" (I'm a Tammi that likes palm trees!). My farm was named "gc add me: Tropicaltam". It has been that way for awhile, then yesterday I noticed the middle part of my name was blocked with asterisks. I thought maybe it was a new rule with "gc adds"...but I noticed others still had that for farm names. I tried removing punctuation, but that didn't work. I tried just "Tropicaltam", but that also did not work. I can't think of any bad words/foul language in there, so I'm at a loss. Please help!
Thanks, tammi
One of my friends shows up in HayDay with a string of asterisks in his name, because his GC name contains a mild vulgarity. I can't figure out which part of your name they are finding objectionable--the problem might be in a language other than English.

Huh, I wonder why "Assamba" (usually included in my farm name) shows up fine? My kids see my name fine, with no asterisks. But I couldn't use that same here, presumably because of the first three letters. It's actually a mish-mash of our cat's name. His real name is Assam (after the tea), but we also call him Samba.
