Clan House Offense / Defense Modus. + Army Template.
2 ideas that would come in handy and do not affect gameplay that much from my point of view.
1. Clan House Modus
Sometimes when you are attacking an enemy, you (accidently) release your clan house into battle.
This can be for various reasons. (Need it as last resort, use it as planned, or push it accidentally)
Sometimes you forget in battle that there is for example a dragon in the clan house that you asked for defense.
This because your are maybe saving for 8M of gold for an upgrade or other things.
Why not give the Clan House a def / att modus.
Att modus: PASSIVE ABILITY
(FOR EXAMPLE) releases 5 extra archers on release.
(FOR EXAMPLE) Shields all outcoming units for 5 sec, so if you release the clan house on a bomb, they don't die instant.
This modus is to be used for attack, so the units in the clan house don't leave the house when your base is attacked.
So you choose here to NOT use the clan house in defense. If you are being attacked, the clan house doesn't do anything.
Def modus: PASSIVE ABILITY
(FOR EXAMPLE) 4 extra archers climb the roof and start shooting enemy's like archer towers. So it doesn't only releases your troops that are inside, the castle also turns into a little defense tower.
(FOR EXAMPLE) Clan house roof is permanently equipped with a mini xbow, you can set it on ground/air mode.
Or because this is a very little version, it has no mode and targets all, but like 5 blocks only or so.
Clan House is not listed on the attack list when you attack other players. You can't use it now because it is on defense mode and defensive units are in it. (Because you are saving resources and don't want to use the clan house for attack) Even when you are attacking and JUST NOT can complete a camp, ppl often use the clan house because they don't think they will make it. In the heat of the battle you not always remember what is in the clan house.
My whole point here is not to give something extra on attack or defense, but just have the option to use the clan house defensively or offensively. You also could set it on neutral so it just works like normal.
The passive abilities are an option that also could be use.
2. Army Template.
You can make army templates.
for example, hog rider army, air units only army. etc.
You create the template, it shows you how many resources are being used and you can save all selected units and create an template.
So its customized on your troop cap, you don't have to rebuild the same army over and over again. Just use the template button. Let users have 4 templates for example. You click it and the whole army starts building.
If there is no more space, the units you clicked last in the template are also builded last.
For example, always end with archers, so incase there are 5 spots less, you don't lose key units, only 5 archers.
All those things should be adjustable for the player who makes the templates. Order of appearance/ building is his own choice.
Bin playing a year now, and these options crossed my mind lots of time. Would save time on army building and would not waste clan houses anymore.
best,
