I have everything maxed, including walls, except 2 army camps (one is being upgraded to Lv 5), collectors, and I have a 601k gold capacity and a 751k elixir capacity. My Lv 3 Air Defense will be done in 3 days. Obviously I will need to upgrade the gold storages to upgrade to TH6.
Post a pic of your village so we can make sure, but it sounds good.
you can upgrade the camps while the TH upgrades, depending on how many builders you have. also make sure you upgrade all the barracks to their max levels. makes it easier for cooking troops.
As long as you have almost maxed out everything, it's okay to upgrade :rolleyes:
I don't have barracks maxed, just don't feel Wizards are that great for farming, unless I'm unaware of an Archer-like strategy here.

You are fine to go ahead. Fully maxxing really only matters for moving up to TH 8 and TH 9.
Looks legit. One of the few people I respect for not advancing too fast. Good job and go ahead with that TH upgrade.

Off topic:
I'd advise to upgrade your army camps earlier in the future. More troops means better raids.
Upgrade priority should be:
1) splash defense
2) lab n troop upgrade (close second)
3) army camp

A larger troop size makes all the difference when you farm. Be it if you are grinding Sub200 / farming at a higher trophy count.
You can actually run the remaining 2 camp upgrades concurrently with the TH - TH6 takes 4 days, if I am not mistaken.
I would also advise trying to u/g all your barracks to AT LEAST the Balloon level
as well as maxing AT LEAST ONE barrack before reaching TH7.
Reason for the former is that you wanna be able to Q as many troops as possible (especially if you are @ Sub200);
and a reason for the latter is you're eventually gonna wanna have dragons & PEKKAs someday,
& IMHO, you won't feel the pinch of an upgrade so much @ TH5/TH6 than you will @ TH7 and TH8.

For the record, this little Potato took the traditional route by fully maxing the defences for Maggie @ TH6; but has just started the u/g for TH7 on lil' Pommie, even though she still has 3 cannons, an air defence & all the walls left.

Yeah, I'll upgrade the barracks after I get to TH6 (I would during it, but between army camp , air defense with 2 days left, and town hall, not enough builders). Having a Healer in your farming army never hurts, albeit the 20 min build time, 20 troop space, and 7000 elixir.
Sorry but I respectively disagree with this statement. A healer has no place in a farming army - especially at TH6 or 7. Gobs and archers with some wall breakers has done me right the entire time and I'm still farming around 1100-1200 at TH8.Quote:

What level did your cannons and archer towers max out? I'm also on TH5 and I just wondered how long until they are finished upgrading.

I would say you can upgrade to next town hall :)
