Kept what I thought was interesting.
First off, the "hunting cheap shield" you're talking about is not the ones that are in question here. You can see alot of top players making poinless Clans (Bosshog is a prime example) in an attempt to get a free shield (or Alliance attack), this happens when a player with lower trophies finds them and then 40% them for a 1 trophie loss (The mohammed Maher clip is one example, Another is Stier
http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLEBb3rqJqUqDbky74uuSZA you can see his defence log in some of the videos). Bosshog was number 1 World wide and in a clan named milkshake or something like that and it was closed, you can't really convince me that he was waiting for someone higher up to steal less of his trophies.
I'm not saying that it's easy to find someone but
you can't compare your 8 family clan with this.
1. You're alot lower then the players in question (eventhough a impressive number).
2. You can't attack clan members and I'm sure that there's just a few that's high enough in your other 7 Clans . Giving you maybe 5 people looking for you in a wider range compared to atleast 20 in a much more narrow range 3800+.
And to be fair, what does "it's not easy" have to do with anything? Is it less wrong to rob a bank instead of a 7/11 because it's harder to do? (Just comparing the "it's not easy" part I'm not comparing Cheap shielding with bank robbing)
The farming excuse (now I'm comparing to the real cheap shielding that's stated above), Finding clan members and attacking them isn't at all the same as farming with your TH outside since it's not a guaranteed success, you still risk losing Everything because you don't have a deal with the attacker.
I have my TH outside while farming in master and 40% of the attackers goes for my Resources aswell or Lightning my DE. Yes you may fail at cheap shielding but poor execution doesn't make it right.
"The it's not chéáting it's strategy statement", I saw a top player comparing it to When Michael Shumacher won a race since his team mate slowed down, might not be pretty but it's not against the rules. It would be a fair comparison if it was the no. 1 and 2 player that does this to eachother, now it's more like if Shumacher finished second by 1 sec but his team mate that finished 105th took 2 seconds and added it to his time, giving Shumacher the win. I'd call that chéáting.
The fact is that SC disabled the revenge option for high level players to avoid cheap shields or atleast make it harder, so SC obviously sees it as an exploit.
Another exploit is the Alliances Which basicly is a deal with other Clans, feeder Clans and your own clan (if you leave it) with a maximum trophie loss roof, it's probably more common now since it's hard to get a real cheap shield. This prevents any other Clans to establish at the top since their players lose twice as many trophies on defence, 2* instead of 1*.
The Alliances compared to farming would be: "You can attack my Resources but you're only allowed to steal 2 storages" which for every farmer sounds like a bad joke.
We obviously don't agree if you Think that this is fair play. Your definition of cheap shielding isn't even Close to the general apprehention of what it really is. I guess that you havn't been around long enough if you really Believe that thats what people mean when the says "Cheap shielding ".
My rant is over, I wish all of those who made it to the bottom a very nice weekend! Cheers! :)
