Clan invites of people already in a clan

Before I get bashed, I did search on this but I either missed where it was discussed or I didn't see it.

I've talked to some members of different clans about the current clan that they are in. Some are happy with the clan, some aren't. Many would be willing to move to a different clan if invited to a new clan. As it is now, unless you know that person outside of clash of clans, there isn't a decent way to get them to join your clan short of joining the clan they are in..hoping they are on...sending a message saying "my clan name is this, <username>, come join me"...and leaving that clan. (Which we all can agree is a lousy way to recruit).

Can't the invite button but placed regardless of being in a clan? I realize some folks don't want to be invited to different clans, and don't welcome invites, but some would be happy to join a new clan if invited to one.
