Hey guys! I'm new at TH8 and i'm asking myself what can i do against th9's attacks…I've a normal farming base, made myself, but i can't hold on th9's attack with level 6 troops…what can i do? I have to accept it or there is a way to defend against them?
There really isn't much you can do when they come with level 6 giants or level 6 baloons.
Not getting three starred is a success.
Put your gold storages in different compartments.
Max your mortars.
Centralize your CC and try to have wizards in it when you log off with plenty of loot.
Having giant bombs in between 2 defense helps too.
Your best bet is to have 3 lv6 HTs.
If you are getting 3 stared by balloons + minions or hog raiders with heal spells then you should look at top left of the screen and if you are above 1800 cups then you are too high in cups and it's quite normal to be attacked and 3 stared.
Now, depending on what troops combos are attacking you mostly focus on dealing with them.
1. Giants + healer
Just plan your layout so giants, the backbone of the army, get sprung 3 at a time by your spring traps. Put the air seeking mines on the sides you get attacked most of the times.
I've been screwed by air seeing mines a lot of times and had 3 at a time of my giants sprung away a lot of times and ruined my attack shortly.
2. Barbarians + archers
The downside of this combo is that it suffers quite easily from splash damage so upgrade those and have them cover all the sides of your layout. Giant bombs help a lot too, but don't just place them outside so would be too easy to be triggered by a single unit.
3. Balloons and minions
Upgrade the 3 air defense to max as soon as possible and have them in a triangle with a wizard tower next to it. balloons tend to pile and wizard towers will knock them down fast. The air mines also help against balloons or minions when they pile.
4. Hog raiders and heal spells
Sadly, even a TH 9 can't do much against them apart getting a special anti-hogs layout. There may be TH 8 versions, check out by yourself.
Wizards in in your clan castle in the middle of the layout help a lot too. If they are very hard to lure out it's even better. Try to spend the stuff you pile and don't horde resources.

Just sit there and take it like a man. (And revenge them with zapping their DE, actually the only way zapping is legit imo)

@stimmedNerd : When you have a defense under upgrade it's better to kick it out or move it on outer ring of the layout. I gave you some good tips in my previous post. Hint: air defense.
IMHO, the only way to defend against us th9'ers is to join us.
