So I have been trophy pushing for a while now, and find myself on a major elixr shortage, as I have been Ballooning my way way up to Master's, and this obviously can cause a delay in raiding, and therefore a reduced trophy level. However, when I want to buy elixr, I don't really need to fill up my elixr storages 50, or even ten percent, because I will regain some elixr from the raid and when I am sleeping. I thought about solutions to this and I think I found a perfect way to fix this problem.
Ok, so this is going to change the way that Resources are bought with Gems, so be prepared. Instead of having three options for buying resources, which are to fill up storages 10, 50, and 100 percent, there will only be one button for buying each resource: gold, elixr, and dark elixir (three buttons in total). When any of these buttons are pressed, the keyboard will be brought up like in clan chat and you input the amount of that resource you want to buy.
Example:
I was only able to train 16 balloons, and I need to train 8 more. So I calculate: 8 Balloons X 4500 elixr/balloon = 36000 elixr. So I input 36,000 and the gems needed is calculated using the same method it already is (I'm sorry that I don't know the exact formula) and BAM, I have all the elixr I need without wasting any gems.
Why I Believe This Should be Implemented:
1. You don't spend as many gems on resources and saving them for more important things like boosting/extra builders.
2. It motivates more people to gem resource now that exact amounts can be bought.
3. It can't be abused, and does not make any major changes to the game.
Cons of This Method:
1. Since I am not exactly sure how the formula for gemming resources works, it may (or may not) need to be changed in order to accommodate these new, more exact amounts of resource bought. But I don't think that this will be the case.
THANKS to everybody that read!!! Make sure to submit any suggestions you have on this idea/why it is or isn't practical. I'm looking forward to hearing your responses and I am fine with any criticism you might have. Have a nice day!
