Heya, So i will be going to TH9 soonish.
I want to design my own base. I'm planning to stay around 1600-1800 (maybe even up to 2000) and farm untill my defenses are all upgraded.
I've noticed alot of Anti-Hog designs for TH9. Do i need to worry about Hog attacks at that cup range?. I dont get any now as TH8?
I was thinking i might go with a twin vault for the farming then as i push for cups go for an Anti-Hog/Ballonion.
Hi I am TH9 now and I just have a normal farming base I came to th9 a bit premature but you don't need to worry about hogs if you are going to stay at that range
As a new town hall nine, I farmed at around 1400 cups and I never got raided period. You can do what you want but the point of farming is to keep your resources and you do that by not having the taken in raids...
Hog raids are rare in that trophy range, but still possible once in a while. Most people have anti hog bases up just cause getting 100% by someone revenging you with maxed hogs makes you feel like ♥♥♥♥. But in most cases, there shouldnt be a problem with hogs
Probably not at that trophy level. With town hall outside in the 1400-1700 range, I get sniped about 4 out of 5 attacks. I have had close to 350k+ gold and elixir, and/or 1500+ dark elixir available on and off for weeks, and I haven't seen a hog attack once. Mostly Barch, occasionally Giant/Healer. And no attack has taken more than 200k gold, most took almost nothing with a snipe or collector grab.

Although you probably won't get too many hog attacks at that trophy range I would still make an anti-hog base and here's why. Most anti-hog bases are also very effective against lvl 6 giants because of the merry go round effect with the defenses in an outer ring and strategically located traps and bombs. The vast majority of your attacks are going to be from people using giants (which is a horrible tactic at that trophy range but that's another topic). Plus, you get the added benefit of if someone does hog you (which will happen even at 1500) you have a base that won't get demolished.

that looks pretty good. You might want to be careful of the top and bottom parts though. If those teslas dont pop out, the hogs will jump straight into the core.Quote:
