Highest town hall 9 trophy player answering questions
jess7286 from the clan Golden Sky was kind enough to answer some of my questions in order to help and give an idea to any TOWN HALL 9 player who is willing to push by using loonions strategy!
Most of the questions above were made from different players, from clans that i visited!
I asked her, and she gave me permission to make this public as we believe it will help many clashers :)
Q: What are your highest and current trophies?
A: My highest trophy record is 3505 and my current trophies are 3473
Q: What army composition did you use in order to get there?
A: I used giants / archers / barbarians / wallbreakers until 2450 in order to preserve spells but also to have my camps full as fast as possible so that i can raid at the maximum speed. After that, i used 20 balloons and 60 minions with 6 balloons in my CC (clan castle) and for spells i use 3 rage and 1 lightning
Q: How do you preserve elixir?
A: Until i reach champions league (3200 trophies) i would only go into raids with the minimal spell use. Normally i used one rage and one lightning per battle. Heroes were also used ONLY if they were really necessary.
Q: Did you gem boost anything? Does it require gems to reach champions league as a Town Hall 9 loonioner?
A: I boosted barracks, spell factor and rarely my heroes. It does require gems to reach champions. A player might be able to reach champions without gems but it will take lot of time. I went from 2200 to 3200 in 4.5 days and i used 3500 gems.
Q: Do heroes play an important role?
A: Yes, they are your backup! the higher lvl your heroes, the better!
Q: What is your advise for future cup pushers using loonions strategy as town hall 9?
A: This goes out for th10 i guess too, it requires lot of patience, practice and never be greedy! Almost always go for bases you know you can definitely win. Learn what bases suit best for loonions! i prefer bases that have xbows all set to ground.
Q: Do you use loonions precisely for 50% by taking each defense slowly or to you go as a full out attack?
A: I always go for one star 50%, precision is my strategy, as you attack more with loonions, you get familiar with the appropriate loons needed for each defensive building in order to use the minimum troops from your army ! spamming them in a base all together does not work up here. Don't forget that town hall 9's have less troops available as well!
Q: What do you prefer having in your CC for attack and defense?
A: For attack i prefer 6 balloons, for defense it's seriously whatever since i don't expect to win any. Normally witches, dragons and wizards are good for defensive CC.
Q:Is there a favorable range for practicing this strategy?
A: I don't practice really! i simply either cup hunt or i don't! As you go up you will practice anyway!
This is my third cup-hunt and in my first one i was still learning!
Q: If somebody wants to reach 3200 as a town hall 9 loonions, should he have maxed troops?
A: Yes, minions and balloons should be maxed! Cup hunting comes from offense, do not rely on your defense!
Q:Since you are a sky member, are you participating in the SKY 9 event?
A: No, this event is only for town hall 9 and my town hall is upgraded in 2 days!
