They have level 5/6 archers... Shows they are at least TH8/9

How is it any different than your 'honor and courageous' raids? It's a game. I can take a TH2 and send my 25 archers at maxed TH10 and fail. That doesn't mean I was courageous. Just like ending a fight after lightening a storage isn't cowardly. If you have gold I want I'll take it. If you have DE I want I'll take it. And I do so as efficiently as possible with a few troops as possible. If my elixir storages are full and I have 4 light spells and see someone offering 3,000 DE and I'm not confident my troops will get it I'll zap it. I ain't scared. It's part of the game. Get used to it and get over it.
That's exactly my point. it shouldn't be part of the game--and it doesn't have to be part of the game. Supercell could finally end this nuisance once and for all tomorrow if they wanted. It takes no talent or skill in the slightest to drop a lightning bolt--and there's no defense against it. An attacker should have to work to get at a storage, not just show up, act like a troll, and leave.
Threads like this only serve to encourage people to zap more.
It's part of this crazy difficult game. SC has done everything they could (increasing HP for DE storages so Lightning spells don't destroy it as much which gives the zapper less DE
Okay, true enough but most of the time you win the battle when your DE gets zapped.
Some may argue that zapping DE is an easy way to convert elixir into dark elixir, but isn't raiding in general converting elixir into other resources?
Personally I dont have a problem with it, but maybe thats because Im only a TH8 and when someone takes my DE I usually just get steamrolled.
SC can't change people zapping, it's a source of DE for lower-levels. [I'm not saying it takes skill], but it's some peoples' ways of attacking means. It's part of the game, I don't enjoy getting 3-starred. You just have to deal with it.
