As a TH7-8-9 student, I hang around 1400-1800 and do farming the easy way with 220 archer army. Just look for abandoned collector and run immediately, lose a few trophies but gain alot of money.
If you see open town hall just snipe to recover the lost trophy.
That's my take, obviously my raiding isn't the most efficient but it's easier for me, and I hope it is for you :)
Maybe you like to share more stats? Like your TH level, how you farm etc?

I agree with Vuviverty. There's plenty of different strategies and methods out there just do a bit of research. I'm lvl 72, th8 and i stay around 1275-1400 trophies. sometimes i drop lower but i have yet to go any higher than 1400 cuz I'm finding 500k plus raids down here. you just have to be willing to search longer, there's a better base out there if you're patient. I use a Barb, Arch, and Gob strategy and just attack the collectors. if that isn't working throw a few giants and wall breakers in there to distract the defenses. find what works best for you
