TH9 Farming Anti-Hog Base

This is the design of a base I created: http://clashofclansbuilder.com/plan/315946.

I used Ringus as inspiration and as a starting point when building this base.

This base could be used for both low and high trophy farming due to its anti hog and giants setup. Also, this base has perfect junctions and the clan castle cannot be lured.

Any advice or pointers on my base would be appreciated.

It helps to see the actual levels of everything, positioning of higher level walls ect.

Not giving me much to work on, I'll try my best.

Swap all your gold storages for your wizard towers so they are cover both your elixir and gold storages. Swap your xbow next to your dark elixir storage with the mortar and move your townhall a little closer to your base, not close enough the archer tower and cannon protect it(unless wanted) but close enough to see when someone attacks it's in their field of view.

Somebody obviosly doesn't understand hog bases, but good try though.

Not my fault, you never really gave me much to work off. For all I know your base could be as under leveled as my little brothers. Don't complain no one is assisting then sook about the advice when you get it.

I have maxed splash, lv 3 xbows (upgrading currently), lv 10 cannons and archer towers, and level 6 teslas. Also got full skull walls. You happy now?

That would break the ring of non-defensive buildings.

looks similar to a ringus base, looks pretty good. How has it been working out for you?

Anyways why would you need to know the levels of his base to give suggestions about his design?
Looks nice except i think anti hog bases are only good for pushing because they don't protect resources well.

A base is nothing without level. I wanted to know his levels so I could know what I was being worked with. And I didn't read the title properly before I first posted, I never realised he said a hog base. That's why I gave the advice I did.

This is actually almost an exact copy of Peabak's Ringus. The only difference is that you moved some defences and you have moved the Hidden Tesla's to the outer layer and built some walls around them. Other that that its pretty much the same :P

I don't find this to be an exact copy on Peapak's Ringus because the third layer is different due to the perfect junctions. Also, I think that this base is still very strong to other types of attacks, while I do not think that Ringus is quite as strong.

It might have improvements and i praise you for trying to make the design better, but in my opinion it looks to much alike Ringus for you to take all the credit. There are people who changed things in the Ringus design making it better and posted those changes in the Ringus topic. The designer of course mentioned the effort and thats how it should be.

In my opinion Peabak has put very much effort in the base, recording all different kinds of attacks and kept improving the design. As he said; test, tweak, test, repeat. In his topic he has been helping a lot of people with all different kinds of questions. To use 80%+ of the design that he made and introducing it as your own is not right.

Again: i'm not claiming that your design isnt better, i'm just claiming that you should give Peabak the credits he deserves.

Ive tried to illustrate how much the bases look alike. The arrows indicate that you moved the Hidden Tesla's to the outer layer (and you moved some defences, but the skeleton of the base is pretty much the same):

Now I see what you are talking about. In my first post il add that I was inspired by Ringus and it helped me create this base, or something of that nature. On a different note, do you have any suggestions on my base? I have yet to build this base and test it as I have very limited clash time right now.

The thing is that i actually like the changes you made. I'm a big fan of the Ringus, been using for a while now. I might test your version, to see if the hog-ring is still working when replacing the HD (i think it still works). Only 2 things come to mind:

(1) I would not replace the Wizard Tower. I think it protects the elixir better and can do more damage in its original position, in front of the elixir tanks.
(2) One of the most important aspects of an anti-hog ring, are double bombs. One bomb doesnt kill a pack of hogs and a skilled attacker will drop an heal spel instantly, saving them all. Double giants bombs = instant RIP for the whole pack. I would make sure the base has 2 x 2 bombs. One one each side.

Other than that nothing comes to mind. I like the design!

Looks like an effective anti-hog base. With maxed defenses, should be pretty tough to take down with any army.

I can discuss both your pointers at once: I place the single giant bomb next to the wizard tower because, since the wizard tower is the best defense against hog riders, adding a single giant bomb to that would not kill all the hogs, but will kill all the ones being attacked by single shot defenses (since those will have less health) and hopefully the ones that took a couple shots from those wizard towers.

If I can express my two cents, I'd like to prove you wrong on this. One of the main strong points of the Ringus is, beside the whole concept of double giant bombs, their placement itself. In fact, the GBs are in a relatively "easy spot" for hogs, as usually healing spells are placed just underneath WTs as - like you said - they are the deadliest defenses against them. Unexperienced attackers would never expect two GBs to be placed there and even if they do they are compelled to drop a healing spell preventively to avoid total annihilation.
What I'm trying to say is that a GB next to a WT is wasted, because the healing spell will already be there and refull hogs' health.

I see what you mean. Il test out my design and see if my idea works. If not, Il change my design so that there are 2 double giant bomb spots.
