lvl 5 archer or giant?

I did both giants and archers to level 5 lol Used gems to speed it up. What is BAM though? Is that barbs, archers, and minions?

Also, since farming was brought up already in this thread, what troops would you guys use to farming at th8 with 190 troop capacity?

Archers are the most versatile unit in the game. You'll be helping your clanmates and boosting your attacks. If you're upgrading your archers now and don't know about them or giants then you've not been shown what archers can do.
Level 6 giants are insane but until you can get them level 5 archers are far and away your best value.
If you use a ton of giants in your attack group then you should do whichever works best for you but at your level, you should be investigating other attack groups. Giants are not the best early.

It really depends on what army you use. I did archers first because i use barch army.
