no - I am not quitting the game (sorry, won't be rid of me so easily);
yes - it was only temporary, everything is back where it should be.
The purpose of this thread is actually to highlight the following raid on my village:

And while I won't call this an epic fail - ergo the reason why this is not in that nefarious thread - because he clearly earned more than what he spent + 500 of my DE (although I must point out that my elixir storages were full & my collectors were half full),
kindly take note of the following:
1. My storages / collectors were FAR AWAY from my defences.
I'm sure 10 gobs (fine, maybe 20 if you are impatient) would have sufficed.
But to wake the King & Queen up? And a P.E.K.K.A. as well!
This little Potato is most certainly honoured...
(Some may note the close proximity of my CC in the NE, but that was sadly empty.)
2. It was a REVENGE attack!
*tsk tsk* No excuses for the Heroes then!
Always check the bases first before deploying your troops. :o
3. He was truly genteel though...
...for giving me a shield to prevent subsequent farmers from farming me. :)
