Make attackers pay some gold and elixer to defenders when the defender wins
I have had my village attacked multiple times by players with the specific purpose of loseing so they could reduce their trophy counts. While I realize this is a generaly accepted and established tactic, And I must admit I have used it myself. It is a little unfair to the defender. First off everytime I logged on to the game I found that I had increased a league level (whats the problem you ask?) It puts you up against players well ahead of you in level and devolpment, basicly you become a easy farm for others. It's discourageing to newer players and in fact My son had quit playing until I showed him how to rectify the situation. Second, they always seemed to set off my traps costing me gold to reset and rendering them useless for when I was actually attacked. And third, Id like to point out that currently a attacker gains gold and other loot even if they lose, but a defender only gets trophies if he wins. A little bit lopsided.
So what I propose is this:
Make attackers ante a amount of gold and elixer equal to their current league bonus for winning that the defender would receive for winning. While the amounts aren't much, it would make attacking 12 different players with 1 barbarian each very costly. And maybe return the lower leagues to some meaning of accomplishment and braging rights.
