Top 3 troops to attack with & why (Original Baracks Only)

I'm decently new to the game, but out of pure curiosity I want to know what the top 3 troops are to attack with. They can only be original light troops though and they all are stock abilities meaning all lvl 1 and they only have the abilities they have when you first unlock them (I'm not sure if you can modify troops ability somehow which is why I'm saying this).

You can only use these troops (DRAGONS & P.E.K.K.A ARE NOT AVAILABLE):
Barbarian
Archer
Goblin
Giant
Wall Breaker
Balloon
Wizard
Healer

You don't include archers anywhere? Archers are my single favorite troop. As far as combinations go, I like to get a few giants with barb+archer support and a few wallbreakers. I hate healers the ai sucks and they're too unpredictable. Healers should have a preferred target of units that target defenses. Then I would use them.

Also ill point this out since you mentioned it- leveling up units only gives them better health and damage. They don't gain any new abilities

I'm new also, so take my opinion with that in mind.

In my level (silver 3, th4, 800 something trophies) I use giants to kill defences, archers for air defences, goblins for loot, and hordes of barbarians for the rest.

It's worked well so far.

P.S. with a wallbreaker or 3 to get through the walls. Sorry can't pick 3. If I just used 3 types of troops, I'd never get anywhere, LOL

If I had to choose 3 for any base I'd choose archer giant and healer. Most safe and efficient

Seriously? That would make giant healer or healer hogs even more OP (well mainly hogs with healers is OP, if the healer went straight for them)

I would say giants healers and goblins because all the defenses will be distracted and then you put the goblins down for loot

The healer can hardly keep up with hogs, which is why people use heal spells.

My favorite troops that you listed are definitely Archers and wizards.

Not to mention you don't have to deal with air defences or mines

Archers and barbs are the way to go
