Barb king to level 5 will assist with BARCH and BAm greatly I have realised. I have been using BARCH to get up to crystal and will continue to use it in the future, especially with the Barb King
Get your king leveled up, before hand, so he is out of the way, I have mine level 2 and im Town Hall 8.

Don't worry about maxing TH7, it's not that important. TH8 loot is absolutely fantabulous for both DE and gold. I had my BK at L3 I think when I upgraded, but his first few upgrades are so cheap it doesn't really matter if you max him. I would get teslas, air defense, and splash done, but once that's over with go to TH8!
PS- Make sure to upgrade your farming troops first (barb, archer, minion in my case).

One of the reasons I love minions is that they ignore walls, so you can carve a path with your barbs and archers, then drop all your minions (after testing for red air bombs first ofc) and/or a rage/heal spell as needed so they can scoop up the DE! Also, if you are in sub200, no need to go up for de. King is important, but its lvl5 you will reach using de drill available for th8.
Don't ask such questions without giving your stats and/or IGN+clan. For depending on your performance your best strategy may wary from stay and max th7 to rush to th9.
