TH8 Farming Base; am I ready for TH9. Any suggestions on the layout?

Here's my layout so far... as of a few minutes ago the TH upgrade was cancelled and the gold was put into walls & an archer tower upgrade. Any tips?

you should get the walls at least to purple first...
the pink walls break just using a lv.6 wall breaker

Get all your walls to lvl 7 first and max out your air defense and teslas. Also can you post a pic of your research? Try this base out to protect your gold since elixir is overflowing.

Also I know it's a lot of work, but you should probably stay at th8 a little longer.

It really is the sweet spot for farming as you can take loot from th9 and 10's as well as th7s. If i were you i would at least grind out your walls to 7 like sharon said. But also, your air defenses can all go 1 level higher. Your minions look like they can go 1-2 levels higher, Barb king could be at least a 5 so you can use the new ability, etc.

Also I don't like using teslas to "guard" the town hall. Especially level 3 ones... Me personally, I maxed my teslas to lvl 6 before upgrading the townhall.

Layout wise, your gold seems a little exposed on the NE side of the base. Also it seems expensive having to reset 2 giant bombs and spring traps anytime someone sends 1 goblin at those "funnels" before the gold and elix storage.

this isn't meant to be a slam on you Zech, you've got a lot of great things going. I just think another couple of weeks will make a WORLD of difference for you mate!


Search the forums for different farming bases and try them out, push in cups and see who stomps your base and how. Then adjust :)

get walls to at least 7 and teslas to at least 5

My research is as follows (only including things not yet maxed and their current level):
Healing - lv4
Rage - lv4
Minions - lv2
Hogs - lv2
Valkrie - lv1
Golem - lv1

COMPLETELY GAPPED MY AIR DEFENCE! Holy smokes how did I do that.... Thanks for reminding me!

Teslas have abilities to ruin giants and hogs path. It can be used to kill wall breaker too. putting them guarding 10 cups is waste of its great purpose.

Today I drop twice to exposed TH base wish to trade 10 cups and gives shield. but 3 teslas appear ruining my plans. So I give them what they want. I leave at 38% after farmed half of their storage, kill their cc, heroes and detonated most of their bombs so the next farmer will farm them again easily.
