A dumb question more than likely...

I was looking for the thread that may answer my question, but there is a lot to go through, and I have yet to find anything. Anyways, I was wondering about this "farming" ♥♥♥♥. I am a level 60 something, and am constantly getting pillaged by people 30 to 40 levels above me. These people have no business (imo) in the same league as me. It is highly irritating as well as impossible to defend against. I was thinking that maybe, they should have it to your trophies based on town hall level. So if your town hall is a certain level, you can only lose a certain amount of trophies. I know that this will keep people in certain leagues with no hope of lowering, but it will keep legit players from getting wiped out by people that are way out of their league. Anyways, I was just wondering if there will be anything done about it? It's annoying. Yeah, sorry, I repeated myself. Sorry if I made anyone angry.

Ok lets answer your "question". This is the wrong place to post your "question" because its not a question its an idea. Oh and we understand your problem your gonna have to stick to it unless you drop trophies, and farming is when you protect your resources over your town hall so the town hall is outside your base and the resources are heavily protected.

There was a question. The question was, "Is anything going to be done about it?"
I'm just not sure if it is something that's frowned upon either.

Yeah i read that but the thing is supercell mostly looks at the ideas section for your ideas and problems.

Are you frustrated with losing trophies or resources? Farming is all about resources, most farmers don't want your trophies anyway. And if they are 2 or more THs higher than you, they can't take much of your resources. So I don't really see the problem.

Loosing 20 trophies to a town hall 9 isn't that big of a deal. It just puts you lower so you are less likely to be attacked by them.

Before leagues were introduced, they did have it so whatever lvl your th is, a person with the same th lvl can attack your base.

If there are that many people higher than you raiding you...maybe you're the one who doesn't belong there lol

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. If you have a clear question, just ask it. If you want to know the reasons why high level players attack lower ones, we'll tell you. It is part of the game though, and you just get used to it. Trophies and resources are both easily replaced, so it doesn't really hurt you.

No it doesn't happen a lot. I just was wondering about it is all. Seems like it would cost more to make the troops than they would make from raiding me. Doesn't make sense.

It depends on the army. It's possible to make cheap armies that can attack lower level players at a profit. In fact, it is the entire basis of the game.
Getting attacked by higher level players is part of the game. I understand your concern... you're very advanced for your town hall level, a player two town halls up comes and destroys your base.
Two things you can do:
1. quit the game. You're overly competitive and you want a fair matchup. It'll never happen in this game.
2. Learn how to work those deficiencies you have and look forward to the day you can overpower the others.
I never look at the town hall when I'm attacking, I'm looking at defenses. If you are often getting raided by players higher than you then you are fooling yourself that you belong in the trophy range that you are.
It's not TH level that decides matching, it's trophy level. Drop a trophy range or two and see how things work out for you there. Let me know if you have other questions.
You're not wrong to feel how you do, it's just how the game works. I'll give you tips on how to work against this if you want to continue playing.

As to farming here's how it goes Taco...
Farming is attacking bases (of course you try to find weaker bases) to fill up your resources.
The opposite is trophy hunting. Your intent here is a "win" by game standards. 50% or killing town hall. They are two sides of the same coin. Do you want to build up trophies and brag or do you want to build up resources and get better to trophy hunt later and brag.
This is why you see people with Town Halls outside of the defensive perimeter. They are giving you the trophy and hoping you will not attack their resources. In this scenario there are a ton of attackers well below the defenders capability "giving" the trophy to that attacker to help them on their way to gain trophies.
If it is your intent to build up trophies, you can do very well hitting "next" in the searching mode and looking for a "farmer" who might have even attacked you so viciously before giving you the trophy back. Just look for Town Halls outside of the defensive perimeter.
Personally I don't give a hoot about trophy count, I'm building my game. I'll worry about trophies later. It's your game, enjoy what makes you feel good.

Thanks a lot guys. I was not trying to complain, nor am I really that upset about it. I was just wondering is all, and when I try to ask people in Global, all they want to do is recruit, not answer questions. I attack for resources so I can max out my defenses before I upgrade my Town Hall to the next level. I try to at least. Thanks again for all that responded, and a special shout out to those who were actually decent about it.

This is not correct. Before leagues were introduced, the matchmaking was still based off of trophies.

To the OP: for the majority of players, this game is all about picking on people weaker than you while getting picked on by people stronger than you. For example, look back through your attack log and I bet at least half of your successful attacks were against lower THs. Its the nature of the game. All you can do is adjust/drop your trophy range to try to mitigate the issue. Or put your TH outside for a quick and easy defeat so that you can have a shield without losing too many resources. It is a fun and entertaining game when you come to terms with the basic concept. Good luck

Just want to add something for you to consider for your own personal enjoyment of the game.

Would you rather lose trophies or resources?

If the answer is trophies, then put your TH outside your walls.

If your answer is resources, put your TH inside your walls.

I personally find the game much more enjoyable in farming mode (TH outside). You lose a lot less resources and you can easily gain the trophies lost from a single 2-3 star raid. Plus, you keep your hard earned resources. Who really cares about trophies, unless you're trying to earn a personal high trophy score, or to be amongst the highest trophies in the world or in your country, in which case, you wouldn't have been asking us this question to begin with :)
