The moat idea seems pretty cool. But if magma and slime have so many more abilities than the water moat, I think the water moat needs a buff. So, for your consideration: when the water moat (or a troop in the moat) is struck by a hidden tesla, the water should conduct the electricity and damage all troops in moat. (Maybe deals about 10-20% of the original tesla's damage?)

Glad you like my idea! It would slow troops by 20% and would increase by 5% for each time you've upgraded the trench. Max lvl would be 8 so that would mean that if you were to use the water moat, it would slow your troops down by 60%. The slime moat as I've recently suggested would slow troops down probably by the same. For now I guess I'll make sure that the water moat get's the most attention it deserves as incorporating all my moat ideas into CoC at once would be a big update. But that doesn't mean I'm going to ask anyone to stop giving me constructive criticism so that I can fix any problems that can be found with the magma, slime or even water moat ideas.
I think this is an amazing idea! But think about it if a PEKKA crosses the moat and isn't struck by the Hidden Tesla but is effected as the water moat is made conductive. Would it still be effected by 2x Damage or will it be dealt the same amount as any other troop? I'm the type who wants to see PEKKA's and under-used troops be seen in competitive leagues more, and I feel that this combination of the Tesla and the moat would expand the range of the Hidden Tesla greatly, thereby making PEKKA's seem even less appealing. What exactly were your thoughts?

Newly revised and edited the OP. I took some of your tips KingDao, and I think the water moat seems a lot less plain.
