Maxing TH7?

As soon as my TH went from max TH6 to new TH7, I started my lab upgrade. As soon as the lab upgrade finished i was upgrading troops nonstop. It is 46 days to upgrade the lab lv6 and all troops within it, excluding hog riders. The balloon, rage spell, and healing spell I did not have done at the time my final defensive upgrade finished means that I went from max TH 6 to max TH 7 in 32 days. (46-3-3-3-5). Since you said you were able to max all your troops at the same time your defense finished up, that means you took 54 days (my 46 + hog rider 8) to get to max TH 7. Assuming you did not use gems, and you maxed your TH6, which you said you did, this would imply that it is your strategy that is garbage, and not mine. ;)

I just wanted to say.... I was in the exact same situation. At TH 7 I had maxed everything (including traps, barracks, Barb King) except for hogs, because it would delay my town hall by 8 days because all upgrades were done and all my builders were sleeping. So I decided to just not upg. hogs because I only used BAM or Barch.

So upgrade your town hall if you don't plan on using hogs in the future. They can go to level 4 at TH 8 so it may be useful for you.

Dunno if anybody's still reading this thread but here we go:

(I am by no means a pro DE farmer, that is Unity_Sharp and Brandon)

Anyways, what I basically did was town hall snipe to somewhere above 1500 trophies, and then just search for bases with 500 or more DE in drills. It was essential to know how much the drills have because as a TH 7 no farming army is strong enough to consistently break into high level bases with lots of DE in storage. So I just basically used the typical Half and Half Barb/Arch for about a week and BOOM! BK lv5. Important to max/near max defenses first and have a good layout to prevent losing 1000 DE every attack by a TH8.

Learn to recognize the level of the drill, memorize the capacity of each level, and remember to check the glass box at the top to see what % of its capacity is used up. It's easy mmmkkkay?
