It seems like a lot of people like to fill truck orders with gold/silver/platinum bars, but from my own experience, I could have done without my smelter. Or possibly spent the money on other things first and saved that for last. It takes from 8-12 hours to produce, and then they really don't sell for what they should. And as I never sell anything at full price, that means even less for me. The ice cream machine and juicer are both useful. There are always boat orders for yourself or others that require stuff from both of them, and both are similar in production times. It just comes down to your personal preference.
edit: I do enjoy digging in the mine, though. People will always buy your ore, and every once in a while, you dig up a diamond. :)

I held out for a long time on buying my mine.... but I kept getting opportunities to buy really cheap ore and couldn't do anything with it, then I got to the level where I could buy the jewelry maker and I changed my mind and opened the mine.
So maybe that's the plan. Wait until you can afford both the mine AND the jewelry machine, and open it up then. Save up all your blasting tools and shovels. I have all 5 smelters going nonstop and I just fill them and forget them, and when I get enough gold bars I throw them in the jewelry maker and forget it .. then a few times a week I've got jewelry to either sell and replenish the gold, or use to fill a truck order for vouchers.
Until then, I'd grab the juicer as all you need to produce the juice is veggies and fruits.
The ice cream maker relies on sugar and cream production which is also used in other machines, so it makes it hard to keep it going at first. But still popular!
Another vote for ice cream maker and juicer here - the mine is fun and the smelters look pretty, but with only one smelter it takes forever to get a useful amount of bars. I would leave that for later and get the other two machines first - they are vital for boat orders. Lots of boats ask for ice cream and juice, and because of that it's often hard to get help with them. And now that it costs 10 gold to call a new boat, sending them off is not so easy any more, either.

I would go with the juicer first, it's easy to make cause they only need veggies and fruits.
Ice cream Maker! Soon as you hit that level, your boat, board & friends will want them. May want to boost Dairy as cream will be in high demand. Ice creams take a long time too.
Then Juicer, easier to make from carrots, tomatoes, berries.
Agree with Previous poster that Mine, Smelter & Jewellery Stand sort of tie in together. I opened Mine without a Smelter, too many TNT, shovels etc., no barn space, so bought 2 Smelters to use ores instead of ICM, Mistake! Barn filled with Metal Bars so had to sell them! Got experienced Smelters now, just no shovels anymore, ores or bars :)
PS. @ 35, I'm still 3 levels away from Jewellery. Find demand for Ice creams much higher than Juices.
Save your money and treat yourself to a holiday :cool:

I'm on level 33 so no jewellery machine yet and i think i'll wait for the mine and smelter- i do have mass stocks of tnt etc but they can sit and wait and Tom can always help clear the backlog of bar orders.
I just got my level 3 captain- i must have been so lucky with the draw- only two orders had large amounts of suagr and only one with ice cream and very small amounts, i'm still surprised i got the captain3 in one go! i do see a lot of people needing ice cream which is why i was tempted to go to there first but if the produce takes a long time perhaps i'll leave it.
If i get the juicer i will be able to fill a lot of my truck orders- overwhelming heavy on the juice needs and a lot of boats seem to need the juice so i could help out more friends now the pressure is off my boat.
Juicer it is then- thank you all so much, hopefully with that on the go i should be able to earn decent profits to get the ice cream machine soon.

Perhaps like getting planks vs bolts, some people get more demands for Juice rather than Ice Creams :)

Agree completely! Unless you always have spare white sugar or cream, the ice cream machine will idle a lot while juice press only beed fruits and veggies to run.Quote:
